Pixi glow tonic + effaclar duo too much for my skin?

Do you think using these together will be too harsh on my skin?

I use both of these, but I try not to use them at the same time. I've been using the pixi glow tonic only in the evening after I've taken my make up off, I use it by itself and only use it once every few days. The effaclar duo I use most days. So far this seems to be working ok but my skin is quite tough - Eg I have to scrub it like mad every day with st Ives apricot scrub or I get spots!
