Is the 'grey tint' hair trend just for under 30's ?

I've got a hair appointment booked today - have long blonde hair - decided ( after watching 'neighbours' fake Dee colour ) that I'd like the grey/platinum tint on my hair ... only trouble is I am actually 49 ... so should I avoid this as too old ?!

I'm in a quandary now !! Booked in at 11:15 !!! So any one about to offer an opinion before then ?!

Thank you ! Flowers

I think it can look amazing on any age, actually! Go for it! (And post a pic Grin)

TheNaze73 · 15/03/2017 07:41

Go for it. I hope it stays bang on trend for people in their 40's/50's, as my hair does it naturally Wink

I've got long grey hair (naturally) at 47 and get lots of compliments. Go for it!

Newtssuitcase · 15/03/2017 10:28

I suspect that if its long hair it will actually look fab and on trend. If it was short I think people would just assume it is natural grey and then it wouldn't look quite as modern.

Truckingalong · 15/03/2017 10:31

Hhhmmm, I'd love this colour but at 45, I'd just look like I had grey hair, rather than young n trendy grey hair and that's not a look I'm ready for yet. I don't think it's for under 30s only but I do think anyone 40 plus is going to look old-lady grey.

SmileAndNod · 15/03/2017 10:35

See I LOVE this hair cut. But I think id just look old and hate it. I'm not sure I could carry it off (I'm 44)
If I was brave enough (and didn't look so haggard) I'd love it.

Go for it OP and post pictures please😊

I think that's an example smile of where it will just look like natural grey and won't necessarily look on trend

yecartmannew · 15/03/2017 10:37

I had exactly the same thoughts. I am 47 and probably now more grey than anything if I stop dying but was thinking if I had the grey (I like the very slightly pink tinged colour) I wouldn't be constantly battling the roots.
But would it just make me look old and grey?

BillyButtfuck · 15/03/2017 10:39

I'd love to do this too but I'm not brave enough!

Newtssuitcase · 15/03/2017 10:39

My hair is below bra strap. I would love to dye it grey but I'm not brave enough.

sebashocked · 15/03/2017 10:41

Do it -purely so you can be my guinea pig. Am pondering doing something similar on Friday. Bit scared it will make me look older (than my 42 years) but if it turns out old womany, I'll just have to dye it boring brown.

thewookieswife · 15/03/2017 11:10

Nervously sorting waiting to be called !!! Lol !!
If it's dreadful I will just get it re done ! It's only hair ?!! Confused

SmileAndNod · 15/03/2017 11:35

Oh. I don't watch neighbours and I'm far too old to be on trend!
Still love to see the pictures though Smile
