Those of you with curly hair, what products do you use?

I am a totally low maintenance girl as far as my hair is concerned. I currently use some serum and mousse, then comb it straight and leave to dry, and it still goes all big and curly. I don't mind curly, but it tends to frizz, and I would prefer a more smooth wave. I don't think that's possible without more styling, but just curious what others use on their hair?

Been using the Boots Curl Creme comes in a tub and only £1.99.. really like it. I use KY jelly :) if there is any frizz.. it works a treat!

I've found Schwarzkopf gliss is the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair.
My hair is naturally curly as goes extremely frizzy when washed.
I use the above mentioned shampoo and conditioner, as it's the only thing that seems to help.
Also I swear by my GHD's. If I don't straighten my hair it's literally horrible.

Second the tub of pink boots curl Creme, I just run that through damp hair and then finger twist my hair in sections, and then leave it alone until it's dry.

Oh and i don't comb it once I'm out of the shower - just use my fingers to tease it out before doing the finger twists as above

Aveda Be Curly range is fantastic. It's expensive but you don't need much of the products so it lasts for ages.

You're never going to eliminate the frizz if you're brushing after you've applied product.

I use SLS and silicone free shampoo and conditioner. I brush only when in the shower before rinsing out the conditioner. I then don't even really run my fingers through my hair as it ruins the curl pattern.

I use my same conditioner as a leave in, then use Tesco blue gel. Scrunch both in from tips to roots. Then blow dry with a diffuser. No frizz

Which SLS/silicone free shampoo do you use Felicia? The ones recommended online are super expensive, there must be a supermarket cheap ones.

(Cheap conditioners are easier to find, Aldi tea tree ones is fab).

I only comb once when wet, then leave it to dry, maybe running my fingers through it once or twice to lose any remaining crispness. Otherwise it's completely flat. I can't seem to get it where I want between flat and big. I would never diffuse it, or it goes massive!

I use bumble & bumble surf shampoo & conditioner

Then brush and apply some aveda be curly style prep followed by be curly curl enhancer. Scrunch hair a little bit then leave to air dry

Look at the curly girl group on Facebook, conditioner only washing has made a huge difference for me

Currently experimenting with cowashing but can't quite get the balance right - normal shampoo leaves me very frizzy , cowashing makes it much more manageable but tends to leave my scalp/hair at the back of my head feeling a bit sticky/greasy even straight after washing.

I scrunch the curl out. Never brush or comb unles washing which I do about one a week. Shake the roots to loosen so they don't lie too flat.

Turneeps I'm using say yes to blueberries at the moment - bit of a pain because I can only get it at Boots but it's been on offer the last three times I've bought it.

ORS shampoo is good if you can find it, an ethnic hair shop it town sells it, or the barber I take my boys to. You can likely get it online as well.

That should be I scrunch the crunch out, not the curl!

Cowashing makes my hair look horrible. I just use Johnsons Baby Shampoo and air dry. If I want product, I use a Tresemme spray, Boots curl cream or...... a bit of hand cream! I have short, curly, thick hair.

Aveda Be Curly is fab - only thing that's allowed me to not straighten my hair. I apply and then twist into big soft ringlets and diffuse on a low heat.

Dr Organics shampoo & conditioner from Holland & Barrett, or Body Shop Rainforest shampoo & conditioner, followed by R&B Hair moisturiser from Lush, as NaiceBiscuits mentioned above. I scrunch it in when my hair is still slightly damp, then allow to dry naturally.

I use Redken curvaceous conditioner. It's pricey but you only need a tiny bit (that's how I like to justify it!). You can leave it in as well and it smells lovely. I use Boots curl creme as well - good recent discovery. Before that I used Toni and guy curl memoriser (I think it's called) which is also good.

I have never managed to completely get rid of frizz except for one completely impractical trick. In the winter (cold Scandinavian winter), I wash my hair then as it is drying I tie it in a ponytail, put on a woolly hat and tuck the tail under a scarf. After a few hours of wondering around in and out of shops/cafes I have glossy, wavy, frizz-free hair. Other than that, I wash and condition (no one brand seems to make any difference), use a little coconut oil as a serum then an actual silicon-based serum. This makes my hair manageable. I tried cowashing but it actually made my hair really really dry at the ends. Also that boots stuff didn't work for me.
