What was the last product you bought that made your skin look amazing?

And what type of skin do you have?

I am dry and dehydrated and I had read many rave reviews of the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Balm. I wasn't hugely keen to try it because i guess it didn't seem 'fancy' enough (shallow).

Well I took the plunge and started using it at the weekend and wow! The glow! My skin seems to absolutely love it. I have been doing really well with diet and exercise recently but this change is just since the weekend - I haven't changed anything else so it must be the balm. My skin was dull and flaky last week but looks plump and glowy now. So highly recommended from me!

Trilogy rosehip oil at night but you need to use it for a few days / weeks to see the difference.

Only two things have ever made a huge difference to my skin: fresh aloe vera gel (straight from the plant, not the stuff you buy), and doing Dry January! The latter made an amazing difference to my skin tone and puffy eyes.

I've tried all sorts (up to and including creme de la mer, which is basically Nivea). If there truly was a wonder product I think we'd all know about it by now.

It's true Tres, alcohol does your skin no favours at all

I wasn't suggesting that there's a wonder product, there obviously isn't, but was interested in finding out what has worked well for different skin types

Not skincare but makeup: Dior's BB cream. I had a sample which made me all the things I've dreamt of, glowy, dewy, smooth skin tone. I bought a tube fairly quickly after the sample and haven't regretted it. Lovely product.

cathyandclare · 09/03/2017 09:49

Kiki I NEED that, was it the Diorskin one or the Hydra Life cream or water one?

I'm a sucker for anything that could give me a glow!

Zampa · 09/03/2017 09:52

Eve Lom cleanser (£££ but wow). My oily/dry combination skin is smooth and glowing if I use it regularly.

I've also just got the Beauty Pie primer. Not at all spendy but my foundation just glided on this morning.

KikiDeliversCakes · 09/03/2017 09:57

cathy is Diorskin Nude BB Creme, in a small tube with a pump. I hope it doesn't disappoint - try getting a sample first.

I love the Eve Lom cleanser too, it's one of my few repeat buys.

I use the Chamomile butter, and always repurchase.

Together with L'occitane divine cream, my rosacea has gone, and my skin is plumped.

Also dry, dehydrated.

cathyandclare · 09/03/2017 13:03

I now have a loooooong shopping list!
I agree about Trilogy rosehip. My skin was way better on that, not sure why I stopped using it.

Aridane · 09/03/2017 13:17

Lancome Botanics overnight cream / gel mask thingie . I use it day and night-'it sinks in and plumps skin. Can also be used under eyes.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 09/03/2017 17:07

Hourglass radiant light powder. Fake it till you make it!

I have dry and sensitive skin and also suffered from rosacea last spring. I found the avene range brilliant. It transformed my skin. However I might try that body shop stuff. Oooh I also love the Origins mask for dry/dehydrated skin. My face looks great after I use it.

Destinysdaughter · 09/03/2017 17:45

Low carb diet, eating all that ( good ) fat really did make my skin glow!

BrownEyedLady · 09/03/2017 17:55

I've recently started using pure cold pressed organic argon oil on my combination skin at night. I was shocked at the difference the next morning after the first time using it - I looked so healthy.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 09/03/2017 18:02

Cor silver soap. Pricey but it's put a complete end to the huge cystic under skin bumps and the milia I used to get.
