Just an update on the wedding outfit!
Went to Meadowhall today and tried on that lovely Phase Eight dress you found me on here a couple of weeks ago. It was indeed gorgeous... but... no good for me. I'd forgotten that things that are knee-length don't work on me (fat calves and make me look like the back end of a bus). Anyway, was inspired by the swirly pattern and fabric though and eventually got a dress in Planet (have searched but can't find a website). It's got a green (two shades of) swirly circles pattern and is longer (mid-calf) and more flattering (high waisted...). My mother (who was shopping with me because she's buying me the dress for my birthday ... which isn't for another few months, but never mind) announced to all and sundry in the changing room: 'Oh that DOES look nice... because, you see, you've got SUCH big bust [like I hadn't noticed] and it hides your stomach'. Thanks mother! Anyway, the woman speaks the truth... it did look nice so we bought it. Oh, and it has 3/4-length sleeves, just as required! Also got a jacket (yes, I know you said mac, and tbh I wasn't expecting to find a jacket to go with dress as it has various different greens in it, but I did) in M&S: \link{http://www.marksandspencer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=5930&Product_Id=2314633}this one. Dd1 (age 7; wants to be a fashion designer... God help us all!) says that the buttons are too big, but I've tried it all on with the dress (and high black pointy shoes - to attenuate effect of big feet) and black bag and I think it looks nice.
Anyway... just to say... I didn't quite go with your recommendation, but you definitely started me in the right direction, so thanks!
