I got a bit behind on the last thread because of work and being ill and getting distracted by stuff. I still need to get my list and pictures of my lippy stash done, (I did some of it, but need to crack on with the rest...) I wore this little gem today, Revlon Copper Chrome, (not to be confused with Copper Frost Chrome, which is more pinky.) Comparison swatches below. This lippy came all the way from Australia! (CF, not CFC, I got that from the Boots in Peterborough.) It's so pretty, I know I'm going to use this a lot in the autumn.

Chardonnay I think impulsive fuchsia is my favourite of the two I've got, as it's shimmery. I currently have some of the Bourjous ones (the pink shades) hanging out in my eBay basket waiting for payday, as well as some of the proper lipsticks. (Like I need anymore, said no make up addict ever. Grin )

Frustrated I love the lip butters! They still have some in Superdrug and I got some off eBay recently. I'll let you guess which was the first one I got when I first saw them in Boots, back in April 2012. (I was having such a crappy time and was so excited to see new shiny things it cheered me right up!)

Nearly five years later and it's still good, and still smells like marshmallows, yum. That's Lollipop and it's sitting on top of the box with all my lip balms in.

I have two lipbutters I'm Sorbet, just to be safe.

SapphireSeptember · 15/03/2017 18:11

I like your thinking Chardonnay! Saying that, I went into Superdrug today and the lip butters are gone! Sad They shall be missed, along with the Revlon colorburst lipsticks before them. 😢

We went awfully quiet. I've had a great lipstick wearing month.
YSL Rouge Our Couture for the most demanding situations. &Other Stories Farandine Red and Montagnac Berry for everyday wear. And a Kiko lip palette for something new and refreshing. I even tried a liquid lipstick, Revlon Matte, but am not 100% sure.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 29/03/2017 21:25

I've tried the Bobbi Brown liquid ones, but I don't know, it feels odd.
Have been wearing Revlon Lip butter in Something Plum, don't remember what.
Nice, looks and feels quite natural.

They did spot making them though.

Same here. I have a new MAC lipstick that I'm desperate to wear, Mean Green Machine. It's a greenish black lipstick. I went into the MAC shop in Peterborough and swatched all the new lippies, and despite all the bright oranges, pinks, blues and greens that was the one I picked. It seems to have teeny tiny shimmer in it. ❤

In the meantime I've been wearing Gosh velvet touch lipsticks in Pretty, Lady Luck, Dangerous and Kitten Pink and I've just ordered Diva. (All of them except Dangerous have been discontinued, so of course I panic, but I have wanted them all for ages, so it's about bloody time.) When Diva gets here I'll do some pictures. Smile

NYX Tea Rose for me today. Also Revlon Winey.

SapphireSeptember · 30/03/2017 21:59

That Revlon one is old, (just googled it,) and the NYX one is confusing, as they have two lipsticks with that name* (googled that one too), but they all look really pretty. (Is the NYX one the matte lipstick or the round lipstick?)

*Why do make up companies do this to us? It's bad enough that I can think of three Funtime Fuchsia lipsticks off the top of my head, but that's different companies, when brands do it to themselves it's really annoying. Gosh and Revlon are culprits in this. Examples I can think of are Revlon have Wine with everything creme, Wine with everything pearl, Love that pink super lustrous and Love that pink moondrops, Gosh have Nougat and Matt nougat.

Lippy today was Gosh velvet touch lipstick in Burgundy, a nice deep red with fine red shimmer. This despite not leaving the house all day. Grin

My NYX Tea Rose is the matte one and it is a really great neutral lipstick for my pale coloring. Revlon Winey is super old but I still use it occasionally. I've worn Yves Rocher Rouge Gourmand today.

SapphireSeptember · 31/03/2017 23:08

Thank you for answering my question. Grin That's a pretty colour too!

Lippies today were Gosh Flirty orange and Bourjous Pourpre jazzy. I have to wear a stupid orange hat and a stupid orange apron at work, Flirty orange is brighter than they are. Grin Then the purple lippy for after work.

I found a place that sells Essence and couldn't resist a rummage. All Matt Matt Matt lipsticks were sold out (a few local beauty gurus have praised them recently) but I bought a Longlasting lipstick, On the Catwalk. It is a muted, pinky red that feels nice on the lips (slightly tingly too?). The shade is quite demure and casual, nothing high fashion about it. I am currently pairing it with a fleece Wink

SapphireSeptember · 03/04/2017 19:04

Aww, that's a shame. Glad you found one you like though. Smile

Does anyone else have any of the Maybelline baby lips lip balms? I've been on a bit of a splurge on them recently. Blush When they first came out I got the original six that were released in the UK, then I got the four electro baby lips I could find in Superdrug, then last year picked up the other two online. This year I got one of the limited edition valentine's day ones in Superdrug, the 2016 and 2015 holiday collections on eBay, the elusive grape flavour that was released in the USA, and an orange and a melon flavour from the baby lips vitamin shot collection, from the summer of 2015. Blush That's quite a lot, but they feel so nice! And smell and taste divine.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in. Just wanted to say I bought the new ysl tint in balm lipstick yesterday in shade 1, which is a nude colour, and I love it! It's sheer, glossy and moisturising. Really pretty for spring / summer. They lots of brighter shades which were also lovely. No good though if you want a proper full coverage lipstick x

FrustratedFrugal · 13/04/2017 13:06

YSL is a great choice - congratulations! The packaging is really opulent and the formulas are lush.

I'm trying to finish a Max Factor lipstick over the weekend. I also impulse bought an Essence Matt Matt Matt #2. It's okay for the price but a tad drying. Kiko is still my favorite budget fix.
