Travel mini-hair straighteners: pointless or worth it? which brands?

Does anyone have any travel straighteners?
I use GHDs which I love but was wondering whether it was worth getting a smaller pair for lighter handluggage travel.
GHD don't seem to do travel ones.

Does anyone have any? are they worth it? Or should I just suck it up and take my full size ones?

No one has any presumably!! LOL. That may be an answer in itself!

Depends how long you're going away for. Of its only for a few days, just get a good wash and blow dry before going. Otherwise take a full size pair with you.

Pointless. I've got a babyliss one and it's crap. Pulls at my hair and takes forever to heat up. I wouldn't bother. Can't even give them away.

I use the Cloud 9 mini / travel as my everyday straighteners. I had short hair when I got them and only really do my fringe most of the time. They are pretty good but don't save much space as the plug is huge!

I got a pair of small ones, which went straight back the next day as they barely got warm. Not worth it I fear.

Ah! Well sounds like the jury verdict is unanimous. I rather suspected as much.

Next question is do I bother to take the straighteners or not. . ..

on the one hand, history shows when on holiday, air drying hair is the way ahead and all plans of blowdrying goes out the window.

on the other hand, for a long holiday, the occasional smart meal out requires a more polished look.

but on the other (third?) hand, a trip to the hairdresser could cover that and save the weight/space of the straighteners.

but on the other hand, waste of holiday money...

I've got mini straighteners as I travel frequently for work short trips.

Mine are Diva and were 20 quid, they're better than nothing. I prefer to travel light so things like this make a difference

I bought my mum some Elie ones from Amazon. They have great reviews but she only has shoulder-length hair - she uses GHD normally and loves them!

I got some travel straighteners from Boots a few years ago. Not as good as GHDs, but if you've got fairly straight hair that just needs 'finishing', then they're not bad.

I have minis in my gym bag (incase I go in the bar ) they are pants..babylis ..don't do it

I have a pair of travel THX straighteners ( and a travel hairdryer) both of which I bought in a Tesco sale last year at £4 a throw.
The straighteners are really good, even coped with the humidity of Florida. I've always used GHD's at home and had really low expectations but was extremely impressed.
The hairdryer would struggle to blow the skin off a rice pudding though
