!!!!!!!!!....URGENT Advice needed about US Shoe Sizes....!!!!!!!!

Finally have an excuse to buy the shoes of my dreams for dh's 40th bash because it's pop/rock star fancy dress and I'm going as Lady Miss Kier from Dee-lite (click here to see why I'm so giddy! )
Am a good size 8 in UK women's shoes - i.e. would never fit into a 7.5, might sometimes spill over into a 8.5. Looks like I need to buy a US size 10 or 11, though depends on which conversion site/table you use. Realise that I probably ought to go with the 11 to be on the safe side but wondered if any MNers could confirm before I place my order?

Oooh loving those. I go to the states quite a lot and always get 2 and a half sizes bigger than the Uk size in shoes, so would definitely go with the 11.

Right, an 11 it is then! Have only ever bought trainers when visiting in laws in Canada though these must have been men's because they've always been size 10.
