Can anyone recommend a natural deodorant

I wondered if anyone could recommend a natural deodorant. I am keen to avoid anti perspirants with aluminium and lots of other chemicals.

I tried Pitrok and really liked it. It seemed to reduce sweating and when I did sweat a bit it didn't smell at all unpleasant. Unfortunately after using it for a week or so I started to develop redness and soreness under the arms which got worse and is now much better as I have stopped using it for a couple of days. It's frustrating as it was great otherwise!

Can anyone suggest something else that is natural but takes away any odour and smells pleasant or just of nothing as Pitrok?

I think in the case of deodorants you have to stick to the normal scented varieties bought in the pharmacy. The natural Ines cannot possibly be as effective.

Weleda Sage deodorant, I've used it for many years and it works well. The sage has something in it which neutralises the bacteria in your sweat.

That's interesting re the sage in the deodorant. I know it is supposed to be good for menopausal sweating in tablet form!

I tried one of the ones recommended here for the last two days and I don't smell but have sweated a bit more and am not quite as fresh as with the Pitrok so might try it again but dry as nannyr suggested.

Thanks again for all the suggestions.

I have had good results with Hippy Paste and with the Natural Deodorant Company's creams.
