Just as above really, it's painful, but my god it will be worth it! And before I get the comments about going to a salon, I'm skint, I can't afford to right now!!

Omg are you insane???!!!

Why not buy some veet 😬

rightknockered · 26/02/2017 14:28

Don't do it! Just give yourself a trim/shave/veet

TheMasterNotMargarita · 26/02/2017 14:30

It'll be fine! I do it with the wax straps.
Make sure you

  1. Are warm
  2. Pull skin taut
  3. Don't be chicken and rip it off fast.

I'd hold your hand but I think you'll need them both 😂😂😂😂

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 26/02/2017 14:30

It never works for me. I just end up patchy!
Good luck Shock

rightknockered · 26/02/2017 14:30

If you must, I hope you're using warm wax and a good mirror

TheLongRider · 26/02/2017 14:30

Ouch! You don't need a hand hold, you're going to need both hands to do the job properly! Shock

TheMasterNotMargarita · 26/02/2017 14:31

Oh and trim with scissors first.

TheMasterNotMargarita · 26/02/2017 14:32

** Strips

rightknockered · 26/02/2017 14:32

just hope your pants don't stick to you afterwards

NoArmaniNoPunani · 26/02/2017 14:32

Yowsers, this reminds me of when I tried to epilate my minge and it ran away with itself and caught my flap in the roller

FredAstairesUnderwear · 26/02/2017 14:33

I think I am insane but I can't shave as recently no matter what I use my skin ends up with horrific shaving rash I have tried everything you can think of to solve this but it's not working and I used to have waxes all the time (before DD when I could afford to), I've done a few bits and it's not too bad!

WanderingTrolley1 · 26/02/2017 14:33

Ouch. Good luck, OP!

rightknockered · 26/02/2017 14:34

Punani, pmsl sorry

rightknockered · 26/02/2017 14:36

I once tried to do it myself, took me weeks to recover. There was blood, bruises, and scabs

FredAstairesUnderwear · 26/02/2017 14:36

NoArmarni PMSL! You've really made me laugh hahaaa! Grin

molemonkey · 26/02/2017 14:40

I was left with bruised skin and bits of bleeding skin when I stupidly thought I could do it myself as my usual waxer couldn't fit me in. Biggest mistake ever, had to go to my waxer and get her to fix the mess i made! She told me off through trying to stifle a laugh. I told her to hurry up and finishing pissing herself and fix my lady bits 😂

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/02/2017 14:43

I used to do it myself but not full Brazilian you are braver than me

TheMasterNotMargarita · 26/02/2017 14:43

Slightly concerned it's only you and I, Fred.
NoArmarni ouchy ouch ouch.

ArriettyClock1 · 26/02/2017 14:49

I was on a residential training course and thought, 'I'll have loads of evening time to kill, I'll take my hot wax and heater and do my own Brazilian'.

OMG - it took me about 3 hours and the result was not even remotely like having it done at a salon where they go right up around your bum hole etc.

Totally not worth it.

FinallyHere · 26/02/2017 14:55

No, sorry, 'fraid not, I just can't do it.

Just incase, though, if you start and then are reluctant to continue (sensibly), lots of oil can get the wax off again.

GoofyIsACow · 26/02/2017 14:58

I do my own, although i haven't done it for ages, i have trimmed more recently, you have however inspired me to do it this evening!
You will be fine, mirror, HOT wax and nerves of steel!

RJnomore1 · 26/02/2017 15:00

This is a thread that needs updates op

FredAstairesUnderwear · 26/02/2017 15:07

I've had to stop, I'll be honest the top and the sides were a doddle the pain was that weird kind that hurts but in a "ooo let's do it again" pressing a bruise kind of way. However, the closer down I got to my actual bits I was shaking at the thought of pulling it off myself. I was a bit of an idiot really!
The top bit looks fine and smooth but I just can't bring myself to do anymore!

OP posts:
RJnomore1 · 26/02/2017 15:33

That's probably a wise move.

Sounds like a good tidy up though. You're much braver than me.

F1GI · 26/02/2017 15:42

I will only wax top and sides at home. At salon will have the lot done but home, no fucking way!
