New Glasses are a no-go!! I just can't wear them!

So ive been trying desperately to get on with my new pair of glasses that I collected yesterday, they are very different to what I had before as in terms of style.

These are more narrower in the lens & have more of a black part of the frame around the outside top corners which I can see, all the time & it's annoying! Also, these glasses have the nose things on (I don't know what you call them!!) and they are constantly feel as though they are pinching me. Yes I chose this pair as I thought I wanted something totally different to what I have been wearing for years.

I really look awful in them. I don't think they suit me at all. My OH said they look smart. Smart. I don't want my glasses to look smart ffs.

I get a discounted/free (depending on price) pair every 2years as I get contacts too, but admittedly I wear glasses more. I need to feel comfortble & happy with them as I wear them probably every day.

I need to go back to change them, I've usually found specsavers to be quite fuss free - I feel awkward though.

I did this with Specsavers. Got a pair with a thick frame (which like you I was really aware of) and no actual nose pads (which I need as my nose is wonky), tried them on in the shop and they seemed fine but the minute I left they became unwearable 😂

Went back a few days later and they refunded me, but they weren't happy and wouldn't let me swap ("well what if you decide you don't like these either?") so hopefully your branch is a bit friendlier.

Glasses direct are good!! Had a pair I hated (sounds similar with frames at the top) and they swapped them for nothing. I always go for large lenses, cats eye or similar.

I'd suggest you go to a swanky shop first and ask them to help you find something that suits you. I've tried finding things on line that I like the look of but when they come they just don't suit me. Much easier to have someone help you to know what to look for. A bit like getting your colours done or learning what styles of clothing suit you best.

I'll pop in tomorrow & see what they say, hopefully I can choose a pair this time that fits properly & I'll be happy with, think I'll go along with something like I have now! I hate choosing glasses, i pick up ones I like & my god, when I put them on its like

I need new pair but had quick look and all are now huge frames and no nose rest which I hate as had as a child! Or round ones that are so 1990s. had these frames about 7y not sure of will last with new lens until next "trend" comes around.

No quibble no fuss, they will change or refund within 3 months if you're not happy

Specsavers will be fine to change them - I know it can feel awkward though! They could also put softer nose pads on which can help?

I've got some Karen Millen ones which I love but are quite heavy and Specsavers offered to change them no problem. I've kept them as they are so nice but also have a more comfortable pair with lighter frames for wearing all day!

Just to update, they let me change them no problem, I chose a nice, comfortable Replay pair, which I think suit me much better, a similar style to what I'm wearing.
