Comfortable going out shoes?

Do they exist?
I am going clubbing (yes really) for a friends birthday and I have a locket black and nude dress, skater style.
I need some comfortable shoes - high heels but not that will kill me within ten minutes.
I bought two pairs recently from new look and after half an hour I was nearly crippled!
What do you recommend that's stylish and comfy?

There is no answer. Sometimes the most unlikely shoes can be comfortable, there's just no way of knowing. Platforms tend to be a fairly good bet though.

Block heeled open toe shoes boots.

I have several pairs like this for wearing with 7/8ths trousers.

Bought these yesterday and wore out last night. Very comfy.

Pop some Compeed in your bag too

M&S used to do really good, comfortable heels but now so many of their shoes are plastic instead of leather or suede. I'd buy more from them if they got the fabrics right.

I just bought some from them because they weren't leather or suede. They can't please everyone all the time.
