my dd is leaving school this year and is going the prom. im freaking out a bit as the dresses are so expensive, i dont want to buy her one off the internet incase its not as expected or doesn't fit properly.
im going take her shopping in a few weeks and hopefully pick up something suitable that doesnt look cheap. most of her friends are having dresses costing £400+ Shock

i dont know why im posting, just panicking a bit i guess

Coast - sorry! 🙄

My dd has got one of the internet for £69. She ordered 3 different ones for size.. sent 3 back. It still needs altering though. But then there is the shoes, bag, hair, makeup, accessories tan, nails. It's a dear doo.
Do you have a bannardos near you? They do some beutiful dresses. Ridiculously cheap.

Was over 10 years ago but I'm 5ft2 and overweight and I had a lovely strapless, pale blue maxi dress from Debenhams for my prom- it was fine as I wore a wedge heel :) Was £120 but I still have it, still love it and am trying to fit into it again and find somewhere to wear it

The bridesmaid section at Asos have loads of lovely dresses. Returns are really easy.

Although you are definitely right to be wary when buying online I bought my bridesmaid dresses from a company in China from Amazon. I checked the reviews carefully to make sure they checked out and was really pleased with them. They only cost £27 each. Don't dismiss that idea totally. It's so hard getting your kids sorted.

Friend of mine bought one in a Coast outlet store, it was in the sale and she got it for £50

Well worth looking round

Just looked it up, the company is Miusol on Amazon. Can't believe that I left ordering until August 20th and I got married on September 3rd Grin, so delivery must've been quick.
Good luck it's so hard and we're in the same position. Our boy is so good, never moans but I often feel guilt for not getting him everything I would like to! Xx
