Please help me find smart going out clothes...in a post baby style funk

I had a baby 7 months ago. I am 26 years old, 5ft4in, a size 8/10, 28FF and I have no idea what clothes suit me any more. I used to like skater style dresses as I had a really small waist. Sadly now my middle is thicker and my chest is much larger, so they don't look as good on me and don't fit right.

I've got three events coming up next month and need three different outfits.
1)Smart-casual dinner out (maybe smart trousers and a nice top?)
2)Work party
3)Fancy retirement party

I'm looking on ASOS and suddenly (and I know it's ridiculous) feel too old and frumpy and matronly for the clothes. Can anyone inspire me? I used to love dressing up for nights out! Looking to spend £50ish per outfit.

Would you consider combining the budget for the last two events and getting something that'd work for both? Do you have shoes or bags you'd like to use?

this is lovely
this too
This would be well worth trying on if you were in there anyway. It could be amazing on.

Thanks for the reply NotMarlene.

There is overlap and a lot of the same people will be at all three events so I need three different outfits. I can spend a bit more if something really suits me.

I love the idea of a jumpsuit - hadn't considered that or looked on the zara website. Thanks for the links!

Ah, yeah, annoying when that happens!

this is a beautiful cut, no idea if you'd go for the colour though. unfortunately it's sold out in the deep green online

another velvet LBD

I like this a lot but maybe a bit pale

this top too (yes, the neckline is fine with significant frontage]]

Mango are usually worth a look but wouldn't load for me just now.

I LOVE that pink dress! I have tulip shaped dress from oasis in that colour that I was trying on this evening, and I got sad that it doesn't fit and gives me a lovely quadruple boob effect. I like the velvet dress as well, though not convinced by the Cos stuff.

Definitely going for a black jumpsuit.

Going to have a nose on Mango too.

Thank you so much for all the suggestions. I'm feeling a bit less panicked and nervous about these nights out (only left the baby once so far!) now I know there are clothes out there and I'm not going to look ridiculous.

I also found a lovely summer dress on the Zara website that I don't need, but is very lovely. Grin
