Shalimar by Guerlain

Does anyone use this? I think I may like it as I love vanilla, tempted to order some but quite expensive. Can only see Eua de Parfum. This may be really sill but what is Eau De toilette, what is the difference between the two? I am pretty sure I normally buy EDT but this one only seems to be available in EDP. Thanks

I normally hate vanilla but I do love this (not as much as Mitsouko though). But I do think if you MUST have vanilla in a france and you are a woman not a 5 year old then at least make sure it is blended in well (as in the case of Shalimar) not like one of those many "explosion in a bakery scents".

I don't know Shalimar, but I wear Guerlain Insolence, which is also a bit old fashioned but I always get compliments when I wear it. I also love vanilla scents and have had a sample of a new L'Occitane one this week, here . I liked the sample very much and am going to visit a store this week to have a good spray of the actual product. If I like it as much I will buy as an alternative to my Guerlain.
