Leaving do tonight ... what do I wear?

DH is changing jobs, so having a do tonight. Everyone else will be in office gear. Do I drag out my (now a bit too big) office gear? I don't think I can really go in jeans ... I could try to wear an actual dress, but might feel goofy.

Or nice trousers and a niceish top?

It is really the only option, isn't it.

I'm tempted to go in a tarty dress to attempt to lure DH home early, so he doesn't get hopelessly drunk, but it's no doubt a false hope.
