Keep or return? LK Bennett Boots

I bought these boots in the LK Bennett sale, £115 down from £295, a bargain, non? Shall I keep them? If I send them back would I regret it (they are sold out now)?

They are ...'pinker' than I expected and I worry they may be too lairy, but they might look great when they are a bit more battered. They are velvet. they have a nice block heel. They make my feet look diddy. I would wear them (maybe) with black skinny jeans and a slinky top/blazer.

What to do? What do you think? Are they gorgeous or hideous??

Keep or return? LK Bennett Boots

I ordered them in the first place because I read that LK Bennett are the comfiest heels and I'm sick of hobbling in painful shoes on nights out...and I can afford them and they were a little treat to myself after returning to work for the first time in over a decade last year and finally earning my own money. I will check out the m&s offerings though and give them one more 'trying on' whirl on Monday.

Oh chinup I LOVE your purple boots!!

lorelairoryemily · 21/01/2017 12:58

Op keep the boots, they are fab!

TSSDNCOP · 21/01/2017 13:01

Whoever told you LK are the comfiest heels is a big fibber. Unless they work at Russell & Bromley and the they would be quite correct by comparison.

maggiethemagpie · 21/01/2017 14:56

Not a fan I'm afraid. The print is far too busy - although if you drink too much on a night out and vom on your boots it may well blend in!

Madbengalmum · 21/01/2017 14:58

They are foul, return them immediately!

JanisNedob · 21/01/2017 15:04

Aren't LKb supposed to be awkward about returns? You might not have a choice!

TSSDNCOP · 21/01/2017 15:34

She'll be ok if she bought them online, they are murder to deal with in the shop. Expect them to scrutinise the sole with a forensic microscope to prove you've worn them.

dudsville · 21/01/2017 16:55

I stake by the rule that I don't buy/keep unless in sure that I love it. I've worked hard to get my wardrobe down to only things I like that fit and are in good condition. I have no room for maybe, not sure items!

Roussette · 21/01/2017 17:02

They look very wide at the top and that would put me off. Also don't like the print but I'm just boring. I know my DCs (young adults) would p**s themselves laughing if I put them on. Sorry.... Smile

Those boots are VERY much a high fashion trend of this A/W, and a very expensive version at that, even at sale price. You should have bought them in November to even begin to justify them. As it is, we've got a few months left before the weather improves, and wet months at that. Those boots are the colours and texture for xmas and deep winter, not moving into a rainy spring.

So, unless you can think of at LEAST ten events you will definitely wear them out to, or your every day dress style is bold and colourful enough to wear them to Asda, and you don't care about latest trends, send.them.back.

If you follow trends at all, I guarantee they won't be in fashion next winter. Move on OP!

(They are lovely though, and if you can afford a £115 wardrobe ornament, keep them!)

Bootsgloriousboots · 21/01/2017 18:57

Ha, thanks Simmon, I wasn't even aware they were in fashion I just (thought I) liked them... And no, not ASDA, but maybe Tescos...

Sorry OP, I was harsh but thought some tough love might help swing you one way or the other...

They are gorgeous boots and if you don't care about trends then keep them, but I refer to my points about you must wear them.

I'm a sucker for pretty shoes too so can feel the pull for them, but £115 is a lot for dressing up shoes you only wear in front of the bedroom mirror...if they were £15.....

Bootsgloriousboots · 21/01/2017 19:56

Tough love is good, Simmons! Thank you for your points..,I think they're going back!!
