Love these threads but never contribute - so thought I would for once. Old and fat. Wearing ancient Next black velour skirt ( have a feeling it's one of my old maternity ones from 10 years ago), blue velvet cami from M&S, long navy blue cardigan from Asda and black opaque. Working from home today so no shoes!

Exam this morning and internal meetings this afternoon, so a step up from skinnies but relaxed smart. And a lot of Cos, apparently...

This boden sale dress, not in love with it but for under £15 can't really complain. I've put vest underneath with thick navy tights.

I'm in Oz and so I have an excuse to be wearing what amounts to a thin, baggy, cotton babygro with spaghetti straps.

Its 30 degrees here at almost 6.pm. I'm boiling.

I like this thread, some posters' idea of what constitutes 'glam' everyday dressing is really different to mine

This morning I was wearing Five Ten climbing shoes, blue Moon climbing trousers, a Jurassic Park t-shirt and a thin Patagonia hoody for a couple of hours training at the climbing wall, with a Rab padded gilet and Salomon trainers for the drive there and back.

Now I'm wearing Helly Hansen thermals under black Arc'teryx hiking trousers, on top the same thermal top under a grey and blue Rab zip neck and will shortly be adding an uber warm heavyweight Mountain Equipment jacket, grey Turtle Fur neck warmer, blue and grey Superdry hat, Sealskinz gloves and a pair of blue and charcoal Salomon hiking boots as we're taking the dogs up to Dartmoor.

Meeting friends at the pub later (very casual, we'll have 2 dogs and they'll have 1 dog and 1 baby in tow) and will probably wear dark blue TopShop Jamie skinnies with brown leather Fat Face ankle boots, a long, grey Uniqlo thermal vest, grey Uniqlo cashmere jumper and a lovely teal Fat Face scarf. My beloved ultra warm but non-bulky and reasonably smart looking dark blue Arc'teryx Cerium down jacket on top.

This is my Arc'teryx down jacket, it's the holy grail of warmth without bulk. I often have people stop me to ask where it's from. I have the dark blue that's on offer here:

Top to toe GAP today in high rise skinnies and cable knit navy sweater, and my beloved elderly biker boots which the cobble refused to resole because they have a fatal crack in the base - I'm wearing them every day i can until they finally bite the dust. Gorgeous navy lambswool Liberty scarf that someone left at my house after a student party twenty years ago . And a North Face Brooklyn because have you seen the weather out there?!

Hush electric blue laura dress. Thick tights. DM calf length boots. Black cardigan from next.
