how to do sexy?

Name changed here, as I'm a bit embarrassed. That's probably part of the problem.

My youngest has just started school. I'm finding myself - slowly - again, and putting together a wardrobe of smart, well fitting things in colours and styles I like. The look is kind of plain and casual and classic. Which is fine.

But I'd like some outfits that are a little more sexy - a little more playful. I'm not frumpy but I am sensible and I'd like to get out of that rut.

I'm very slim and pretty flat chested. Don't have much in the way of curves...

Can anyone suggest any shops or pieces for me to get started?

Have a look at some fashion bloggers on instagram. They have great ideas. In terms of shops, Zara is a staple for slim ladies... good luck.

THANK YOU

pencil skirts - now I don't know why I didn't think of that, because that is sexy, in that librarian-chic sort of way that I tend to exude.

And YES to big jumpers with wide necks: DH has specifically complemented me on shoulders and collarbones in the past so I can work with that. I don't really need a bra unless I want one, and he's also said he likes to see me wearing tight fitting vest tops under blouses and shirts, so I can go for that.

I haven't bought anything yet - still making lists and looking around, but I have a good list and am feeling like there is some hope for me yet.

And I know all this sounds pathetic. I'm not JUST thinking of DH - I want to feel good and confident and feminine too - and I haven't done, not for ages. I think seeing a twinkle in his eye will help me though.

Will check out Emillia Fox - I've seen Silent Witness and I am pretty much exactly her shape - it's a very neat shape, but hard to bring a bit of sexy to...

Good luck op, I find sexy hard to do so I favor girly, dresses, little boots/shoes, nice makeup bright lipsticks etc.

A good hair cut, with soft, shiny, hair is lovely.

I echo what's been said about backless and strappy tops - take advantage of being able to wear what would look obscene/absurd on the larger of bust. I love halter necks but have shoulders like a line backer and a pair of DDs so can't go near them!
