Cauliflower- I would say the Diva and I use them both in a professional capacity also, they're fabulous:)

HoHumming · 01/01/2017 15:22

I have a Parlux 3800 - for the pp who was asking. It is fine but my hair is quite coarse and thick and I can't see much difference really, perhaps less frizz if I spend longer drying it.

Thingsthatmakeugoummmm · 01/01/2017 15:26

Love my Dyson. My hairdresser commented that hair in better condition. It halves drying time 😉

kittymewslie · 01/01/2017 20:26

I love my Dyson. I have a Parlux too. My hair is long and thick, and the Dyson is so much faster at drying my hair than the Parlux; it is also lighter and much quieter. I have two small children, so noise is a very important factor when drying my hair at night or early in the morning.

Zoflorabore · 02/01/2017 01:15

My diva is 3600, would not pay £300 for a dyson hairdryer but would for a dyson Hoover Grin

Never understand the parlux love. I have the same one as Dame and I find it takes ages to dry my hair with it. It does make my hair smooother and elongates any static though so I dry my hair with a Babyliss dryer and finish off with the Parlux. If it was the hairdryer I had, I wouldn't be impressed. But everyone else loves it.

I tested a pink Dyson in a shop, as much as you can when you're hair is dry! It had a melted bit inside the circle where the two colours met. Like it had got too hot and burnt. That put me right off.

EnidButton · 02/01/2017 04:21

Elongates! Grin Supposed to say eliminates.

EnidButton · 02/01/2017 04:22

'The only hairdryer I had'

NewBallsPlease00 · 04/01/2017 02:56

My hairdresser wanted to try one because they're meant to be quieter- are they?

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 04/01/2017 02:59

Bloody hell!
DH bought me one for Christmas, I didn't realise that it cost THAT much!

CondensedMilkSarnies · 04/01/2017 03:08

I don't get the love for the Dyson , I had a go of one in Curries and it was fairly quiet but surely hot air is ,well..... Hot air isn't it? The only thing that I think makes a difference is the power and there's cheaper dryers that are just as powerful .

MelSparks · 26/03/2019 16:20

I hate mine, my hair feel weird after using it, really dry 👎😕

sulee · 26/03/2019 20:08

I tried one and was seriously unimpressed! The reduction in drying time is no incentive for me as my fine hair is practically dry by the time I get out of the shower, so I need a dryer mainly for styling and much prefer my Diva which is quiet enough and leaves my hair lovely and shiny.

Thedarklady · 26/03/2019 20:18

It seems like you should save your money and get a Parlux, Diva or similar. Get a microfiber hair towel or turban too!

Betty777 · 26/03/2019 21:42

I don't have one but have been told more than once that they won't be great for my fine, flat hair. If you have hair that doesn't take too long to dry anyway (like mine) then the Dyson dries it too quickly - before you are able to coax any shape into it at the roots - so it ends up flatter than ever.

I have friends with thick hair who love it

Weathergirl1 · 27/03/2019 08:40

Fine long hair here and I disagree I'm afraid. Never got on with 'normal' hair dryers but my Dyson is fantastic. Smooth shiny hair. There's three heat settings and three speeds too so I don't understand how it can dry fine hair too quickly!

cathyandclare · 27/03/2019 10:44

I tried one in a hotel and wasn't impressed tbh. I have v thick hair and my parlux is just as good.

MelSparks · 27/03/2019 10:57

I have fine flat hair too so there lies the problem, wasted £300 😡 never saw any info on this before!!! Grrr
