Where can I get a work suit of the quality Jigsaw used to do 10 years ago?

Just that really. Had a really nice approx. 50% wool black work suit. Went in the other day to try to get another and the quality was noticeable worse. Where should I try? Ideally want a black suit jacket, quite fitted, maybe with a skirt to match but not essential.

I would have said Austin Reed until they went out of business.......

It's difficult, LK Bennett sometimes do suits, or Aquascutum have skirts and jackets.

Have you tried TM Lewin? They have a few suits in at the moment.

travellingfamily · 29/12/2016 12:04

I love TM Lewin but they are stopping doing women's wear (apart from online). I think they have new season shirts but not sure about anything else. I tried on the black jackets they have but they didn't suit me :(. Will have a look at LK Bennett and Aquascutum. Any other tips?

Try Hobbs. You might be lucky and get something in the sale 😀

Try Reiss perhaps. I've just picked up a skirt suit in the sale which is a wool and polyester mix.

Jaeger are fairly reliable and Cos do some nice pieces

Any other tips?

Have a look on eBay.

I've got a few Hobbs jackets - lovely quality and can often get good deals in the sales.

Massimo duti seem to stock some proper wool suits, the kind you used to see around 10 or so years ago.

Bluntness100 · 29/12/2016 18:07

Personally I like Hugo boss and the prices aren't that scary. Have a look.

Banana republic or Jaegar outlet

orangina · 29/12/2016 18:28

I second Jaeger outlet...

dementedma · 29/12/2016 18:29

I love Hobbs but can't afford it.Sad

FantasticFestiveBeasts · 29/12/2016 18:49

I agree with Hobbs and Jaegar Outlet. Hobbs have outlet stores/website too. I rarely pay full price for anything!

UncomfortableBadger · 29/12/2016 19:51

This is going to sound really daft, but Sainsbury's! Have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of their suits on several occasions.

I've occasionally struck gold in TK Maxx too Smile
