We have a wedding to go to in Cyprus this year(august) so its going to be jsut a bit hot!
so..i need something to wear that is low maintainence, cool and allow me to chase round after dd all day!
at moment im losing weight, am size 20 and weigh just over 15 1/2 st...im still lsoing and aim to be just over 12 1/2 st by then..no idea what size that would be???(am 5ft 6in and medium build)

So need suggestions for something nice and cool and not for skinny twigs..so do you best on me..please

ok well i'm about that weight and height so you can reckon on being size 16/18 depending on style and fit. now over to experts for lovely clothes suggestions (although i will just say am adoring tunics and tight jeans - must get the cut exactly right or look like sofa though).

fishie · 20/02/2007 09:28

sorry trousers in yoru case for wedding. tunics nice and cool though, perhaps there are some nice things at somewhere like phase 8? oh and i am a lot smaller on the bottom half - what shape are you?

StrawberrySnowflakes · 20/02/2007 09:31

at minute im 20-22 on top(big boobs, got bigger since losing wieght!) and 18-20 on bottom..so after another 2st and half i was hoping id be an 8!

cod is right it isn't really practical to get anything yet. but there is no reason why you can't start looking now and you will need something to wear as you dwindle.

have you got nice legs? i find dresses hopeless as if they fit the top half they make my bottom half look bigger. so separates are prob your friend.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 20/02/2007 09:41

yeah, i prob will wait thanks cod, just dont buy many'nice clothes' just work stuff(being a cm, i work from home), so i need a nudge...size 16 sounds cool!..then i can get something thats not from evans(sorry, i shop they now so not offending anyone, just wantt to wear something nice from a non plus size shop)

well my legs are short although shapely(apart from my thunder thighs at present, but they will be vanishing)so a looong dress may work for style but maybe not to practical on beach..il have to tuck it in my knickers when playing with the kids

thing is i though 4St would reduce my dress size down more than a 18??..but hey ho, btter than my 22/24's which is what my last shop entailed of

something happens to clothes around the 16 mark where they cut them a different shape, less wide arm holes that sort of thing, so actually it is quite a big difference - size 20 is very odd on me whereas size 14 is too tight rather than proportionally wrong.

are you exercising or slimming?

dueat44 · 20/02/2007 10:32

Well bloody done anyway!!

StrawberrySnowflakes · 20/02/2007 10:58

im slimming but being a cm i get lots of gentle excersize walking everywhere with children to groups and so on and have been pushing a double buggy around making my walking more excersizish!..only have one mindee and dd now but even walked into town sun instead of in car(45 min walk) to make up for lack of weight to push

i know what you mean about the cut on clothes, i hate top in my current size that show your roll of flab over bra, FGS i dont need a hole the size of my head to fit my arm thru!..skinny men must design these things

and thanks dueat44
