I have greys that appear at my temples and parting line. IN the past I have managed bunging on a dye but there are more and mroe grys now so am going to get it done properly at the hairdressers.

Shall I have a 'ful head tint' or 'highlights' ?

I kind of know the difference but not sure what is best.

I have a bob hat was once dark brunette but has the tell tale brassiness of a home dyer!

asap please as have booked hair cut at 1.30pm today!!!

Hi DimpledThighs
I think (but hopefully by bumping someone else will come along and confirm)that highlights allow you to get away with longer periods between salon visits.
Though it's more expensive and takes longer than tinting so maybe it all works out in the wash.
I think it will also depend on how fast your hair grows as to how much regrowth there's likely to be.
Have fun at the hairdressers anyway and hopefully someone much more knowledgable than me will be along soon.
BUMP!

low light/hi lights better option as not a block of colour, try a coupls of diff colours where you are most grey ie: two diff shades of blond/light brown/goldy?, then grey is less likey to show in a big bunch.have a nice time

and tell them of your time limit, instead of getting ten people, one washing your hair, putting you towel on, combing it, drying it etc, theyll stop faffing and get the job done!

DimpledThighs · 19/02/2007 18:34

thanks for the advice!

I told them what I wanted and my limits and they have given me a lovely semi perm tint and I am going back to have high - low lights put in in a few weeks to hide the greys.

Hairdressers are SSSSOOOO relaxing!
