Having failed to find a chocolate brown cropped jacket to wear to a spring wedding, I've completely changed my mind about what to wear! I've decided that what I NEEEEEEEEEED is a black, slightly swingy slightly cropped jacket, preferably with 3 quarter length sleeves.

Please help!!!! And it goes without saying that you are all looking particularly groomed and gorgeous today.

double or single breasted (did we have this conversation last time? )

(and am suffering last end of cold and beginnings of bump so am slobbing in old jumper with fly of jeans undone - no worries re me looking stylish there...)

MrsBadger · 18/02/2007 16:28

with flowers any good?
or a blazer type?
or with buttony trim?
with a tie front?

or one from Monsoon?
or a double breasted one from Dorothy Perkins? ?

janeite · 18/02/2007 16:30

Thanks MrsBadger; I hoped you'd be around! Single breasted if poss, so as to avoid making norks look even bigger than they are (34DD).

And I hear that the oldjumperflyundone look is all over the catwalks at the moment!

Needs to be plain, to go over a patterned dress. LOVE the last link, so will definitely go and try that one on. Any more?

Also, has anybody seen any fab shoes in peacock blue? I can't walk in high heels but I can usually manage wedges.

Meant that I loved the last M & S link.

gorgeous blue sandals (too high) and flats (to low) in Dorothy Perkins.
Perhaps Monsoon?
Or one or two fro Kurt Geiger.

In my mind New Look have blue shoes at the moment...

janeite · 18/02/2007 19:17

Like the Monsoon ones. What are New Look shoes like? I only go in there with my 11 yr old - haven't looked at the ladies' stuff for years! Time to revisit? And can I get away with not wearing a hat?

blue satin heels
red or dead higher with more of a vintage feel
perhpas a bit muchj but I am indulging my own shoes fetish now!
think these are different from the first link

twinsetandpearls · 18/02/2007 19:30

sorry didn't read that you couldn't walk in heels, mine will be useless.

MrsBadger · 18/02/2007 19:41

no need for a hat - perhaps a fascinator if you fancy one but don't feel compelled.

New Look is always worth a peek for high-fashion stuff as they're so catwalk-led -there is a lot of dross but they do have gems, esp when it comes to shoes and bags.

janeite · 18/02/2007 21:05

Love those first Red or dead ones Twinset, but would kill myself in them! Keep the ideas coming though if you can, just a bit lower!!! Mrs Badger, will deffo try New Look, and will have a look at fascinators, though I imagine I'd look utterly ridiculous in one (have a v small head!!!).
