Is it possible to find decent-fitting shirts for those of ample norkage?

I'm the same bra size as you Yorkshirelass, but I also have a great big belly, so fitted shirts are out of the question. I tend to slop around in old football shirts that ex-p left here. Anything designed to fit women makes me feel (and look) like a great big ugly pig.

I have 38dd norks, well I once ran into John Rocha (A very famour designer in Irealnd) and bemoaned the fact that his shirts were made without norks in mind and was stared at blankly!

Ireland even.

I have a couple of Kathmandu ones which have more material in the back (because they are for sporty people with back muscles) but they work the same way as maternity wear - if there is enough room in the back the front can borrow some.

They are pretty shirts I don't look like a hairy hiker.

hairy hiker LOL. Do you wear them with walking boots?!!!!

I find some shops better than others re ample norkage.

Next is for v small boobs, Principles are OK, and so is M&S and Boden. Every where else far too small. As for Kookai....

Having surgicaly enhanced big norks and slim frame I live in stretch t shirts most of the time. Nothing fits, also have done the vest top under open shirt thing also. Vest top under cardi, vest top under zippy, you get the idea, big norks suck when it comes to getting nice tops!

I know, my biggest nightmare is getting legs long enough, i need a 36" inside leg.
Sleeves lengths are another one!

I'm 36DD & don't have too much of a problem. Lots of fitted shirts have a degree of stretch these days. I recently bought some great fitted shirts from H&M. I also find that TM Lewins womens shirts are good too.
I also go for the vest top with shirt slightly open look.

I have been trying for years to find a shirt that fits! I am a 32 D so not massive norkage but with a very small frame/narrow shoulders it seems impossible to find shirts that fit.

There really must be a gap in the market for inexpensive made-to-measure shirts. I would be happy to buy in bulk if anyone offered such a service. Or even in a variety of shapes and sizes the way they sell jeans?

fizzbuzz · 19/02/2007 10:29

Counting the grey hairs. I think you should look for square neckline tshirts to widen your shoulders out.

I like Aloha's idea (shirt unbuttoned quite a way, vest underneath) will try that

I tend to stick to jersey tops tbh (38g)
