So what exactly does one wear out clubbing these days?

Clubbing hasn't been high on the agenda since having kids, and the times I've gone recently haven't been pre planned, so I've been dressed in work stuff.

I haven't picked an outfit specifically for clubbing for years. Please help! I'm 30, a size 8, I look dreadful in pastels, and my legs are not my best feature, so no short skirts unless it will go with thick black tights.

I was at a club this weekend for my friends daughters 18th! (I'm mid-30s but birthday girl had invited me and her mum especially)
I wore skinny jeans with high heels and a strappy slinky top which showed off my (rather nice) boobs. Most of the women there were younger than me and wearing see though body con/lace type dresses but I had my hair blow dried out fabulously and got the 18yr old to contour my face (''twas like witchcraft) and I felt fab!

I wear skater dresses to the pub etc. something either with lace or a nice pattern, and mid height heels. If it's a big night out I like to wear a super short playsuit and heels. I have long slim legs and in my head it gives the illusion of a slimmer body (it doesn't!)

Thanks, ladies. Hmm... still not sure tbh. I have skinny jeans but nothing to wear with them, or a short LBD which is nice, but I saw a hairdresser wearing it (back to front!) in a salon not long after I'd bought it, and it kind of put me off...

Heels, skinny jeans, nice top.

Covers all bases.

A nice top can be a silky or sparkly cami (with a nice leather jacket) or a blouse.

I'd avoid a cold shoulder top.

I never wear leather jackets where there's alcohol and ciggies, lost too many beautiful expensive jackets that way just walking from bar to bar
