Are French manicures naff???

I have always thought: Yes.

I thought all women who wasted time getting their nails done were empty headed losers with no life.

I got persuaded to have a french manicure at a school fundraising 'pamper night' and....I LOVE IT!!!

I keep waving may nails around as I talk just to look at them (looking at them now as I type).

Now thinking I'll get it done again.

So opinions ladies:

Naff or not??

I was even thinking maybe it's just naff on everyone except mebecause mine look GORGEOUS.

Nothing wrong with having a manicure, I have it done weekly. French manicures and fake nails are tacky though. Very Footballers wives.

Mine are sculptured acrylic then. Ah, now I know!

Well, my nails are definately not cheap, tacky or footballers wives-esq they look fab and I've had alot of comments about them and got my nail technician alot of work.

LOVE my acrylics and I am definitely not footballer's wife type but educated professional and yummy mummy . Couldn't go back to having cracked, chipping, odd length nails.
American polish is more 'natural' than French but still gives that nice shiny clean look.

And another thing...
for those who think people with manicured nails have sweet FA to do all day, the varnished acrylics are much harder wearing and long-lasting than painted natural nails. I can wash up, type, do all things baby and kiddy related (they are quite blunt at the edges)without fear of colour chipping or scratching the kids.
So na.
