I found a site called Ilovejeans.com and did my body type test, results here but I can't find any of the styles online. I don't think they are being sold anymore so can anyone help with similar styles. I am lost.
The styles they recommended were:
Lee's Leola pockets
Hudson's flap pockets
Rock and Republic Madrid boot cut
Pepe Pimlico
Topshops Jess
Diesel Cherone.
I am fed up with buying Next jeans that don't fit well a month later.
I am a Next 12 so presume would be 14 in these designer togs?
Can anyone help. I am so not a label person and don't know where to start. What shops would sell designer jeans?
I am going into Birmingham in a couple of weeks so will make it my mission then but don't really know where to start. Eeek.

Oooh, thank you. Yes this is the conclusion I have come too. As a SAHM I live in jeans and so I have decided I can justify the money. Cheaper than getting a new pair every 4 mths anyway.
So big dept stores will be a good start then.
Thanks Kama.

Skyler,that's a great website.
I did mine and it came up with the same ones as you .The republic ones are on the website here

isaidno · 15/02/2007 20:12

Selfridges in the Bullring is probably a good place to look too.

There is a big Topshop in the Bullring as well.

And try Gap too, even though they are not on your list.

Skyler · 15/02/2007 20:18

How did you find that?? I am obviously going mad.
I like those. And they aren't that expensive. And they apparently have a Republic in my nearest town centre . I don't go shopping for me much...
I am concerned they are a bit low slung though. Don't you think they will show builders bum whilst dealing with small toddlers? I hate that.

Someone recommended the Gap long and lean. So the Bullring is the place to go. Thank you.

Builder's bum is very annoying!

And jeans too low slung, with a post baby belly exploding over the top .... NO NO NO!!

Anyine tried the new style jeans, the high waist wide leg ones, all the fashionistas are talking about??

I'm most apprehensive...

Enid · 16/02/2007 15:14

oasis scarlett are really fab fit and have cleverly nicked the sevens logo so you can almost get away with it

however the bleaching is a bit odd

(cod I have washed mine now and theyve not shrunk)

swifterella · 16/02/2007 15:16

you can actually buy them off the website x

Skyler · 16/02/2007 15:26

I tried the Scarlet today but they did nothing for my bottom .
My bottom is not small, just flat and so I seem to have spare material under my bum cheeks .
I tried all the jeans on in Republic but had builders bum bending in all of them apart from one style where they didn't have my size.
Tried all jeans in Jane Norman, again too low slung for me, no luck with Mexx, Oasis, River Island or Topshop either. Then I had to go home as dh needed to go out.
Later today I went to Asda and got a really wide fit comfy pair of jeans for £18 . All others in there again too low slung for me. Am I just too fussy?
Anyone else got a flat bum and found the solution? I haven't given up yet. I am going to be on a mission in Birmingham next Saturday.
So Cod are you keeping the jeans. I thought they would look great with a high boot.

skyler -I too tried on scarlett jeans on oasis today.Found the size 16 toobig and they only had the 14 on long and they would probably be too small aroung my tummy.I also found thay bagged aroung my flat arse.
I ended up buying my usual £10 pair from matalan, but noticed when i tried them on at home that they've changed the cut of them and they have a much lower rise now .They'll have to do as I can't be arsed to change them now.

Skyler · 19/02/2007 16:14

Grrr. It is annoying isn't it. I bought some bootcut jeans from George for £8 too and have worn them today as although they are low slung they are not too bad and were only £8. I have come to the conclusion that if I kneel to deal with the toddlers inside and make sure I have a long coat on outside I will be ok. They do make me sit up straight at least and a belt also helps. Some of the others were obscene though. I could see my bum crack . When is this ever a good look?

I have a flat bum normally (am 6 months pg at the moment so not a problem now !)

From my experience the only jeans which didn't leave lots of spare material were top shop (but normally very low cut) or seven for all mankind (which I wear).

Would recommend the sevens - they are v expensive but worth it for me. You could try on for size in John Lewis or Selfridges and buy the correct size in from the states as a lot cheaper esp with the dollar rate.

Would also suggest Selfridges 3rd floor (if you can get to London) as they have loads of types of jeans to try and there is also the usual top shop, levis, oasis on the first floor. Also a Gap a few doors away. From my experience you have to try loads on and not act on recommendations as everyone is so different.

Skyler · 19/02/2007 17:08

Thanks incy. I will try to find the 7's on Sat to have a go.
