This is on the label of a garment I bought.

This is a disclaimer that it will lose its shape right?

It's a £41 t-shirt I got for £24 in the sales.

Sounds like it alright.

I can beat it with this label from Phase eight.
"Hand wash only. Fabric may come apart when wet"

Aaaaaaaaaaa! Why do they do this?? It gives me the rage. They should just attach a care label with a big picture of someone shrugging on it.
