Is it just me... or is the new collection at Cos not as good?

Apologies for another Cos thread Grin

I went into the Birmingham store at the weekend for the first time. Have only been to the Regent St store previously. Noticed that the price of many of their dresses seemed to have fallen from £80 to around £60. However, my celebrations at this were short, as it also seemed like some of the fabrics just weren't as good either. Instead of having that heavier, high quality look and feel, they seemed much more like the rest of the high street.

It could just be a different store. Or maybe I just was in a bad mood! Anyone else noticed this?

Oh don't say that - I've only just started getting into themShock

I'm really hoping someone's going to say it's just me, or the Birmingham store! Grin

And I still got a lovely corduroy dress (yes, I know that sounds like a contradiction in terms, but it is genuinely nice!!). So can't have been SO bad!

Half my wardrobe is from Cos and I like the colours this season but I'm not mad about the collection. It is annoying as autum colours suit me. I was putting it down to my mindset of trying to reduce my buying though!

I am vaguely Cos-obsessed and hadn't noticed any noticeable drop in quality, though I haven't bought a huge amount this season due to NOT NEEDING ANY MORE CLOTHES. I did get a nice coat, scarf, and skirt*, mind.

*NOT NEEDING MORE CLOTHES is clearly relative.

floisme same here, so no doubt we've jinxed the fecking company. 😩

20% off Cos knitwear on the website today if anyone is intending to buy.....

shins · 17/11/2016 14:33

No. I bought a beautiful wool navy dress there recently. People in my town are excited about Other Stories coming soon but that polyester shite will never lure me from Cos! Smile

shovetheholly · 17/11/2016 15:33

shins - is it the wood dress with a pleat in the front and a funnel neck? If so, I got that one too and I LOVE it! However, I couldn't even find it in the Birmingham store. It wasn't there, and nor was any other dress made of wool as far as I could see.

Can you please link that dress. It sounds lovely.

shovetheholly · 17/11/2016 16:48

It's this one (sorry I don't know how to embed a link)

I LOVE it. It manages that near-impossible feat of being both super-comfy and smart. The way the wool hangs is just gorgeous. It is my new favourite thing to wear. Also, I just washed it on a wool cycle for the first time (slight heart in mouth moment) and it's fine. Smile
