I am 32 years old and I have long brown hair it comes to the top off my butt. My question is am I too old to have my hair that long? Everyone I asked say no don't be silly. I like my hair and I always get complements on it. But I'm not sure if its one of those things I will look back on and think wtf was I thinking? I need some I partial advise pls

I think it looks lovely on little girls. But I think it rarely looks appropriate on grown women. Although, like most things, it's how you wear it. And if you like it, does it matter what anyone else thinks?

Tbf, if you are complimented on it, it's probably lovely!

I dont like hair that long on anyone tbh. I do love long hair. Just not really long hair. Why not get it cut to your bra strap length. I think that length looks just about right.

I agree, you can have the wow factor of long hair with any length past your shoulders, it doesn't need to be down to your bum.

You'd probably wear it down more often if a bit shorter.

I don't think I could cope with the maintenance of hair that long. It must be difficult to brush, wash and I can't imagine trying to dry it. Shock

However, I don't think you should have a drastic cut. It sounds like long hair is part of your identity and you enjoy having it.

The word old can't really be in the same sentence as 32 btw. Grin

Love long hair at any age. Its not about age though, the question is does it still suit you and your lifestyle? If yes then thats all you need to think about.

Strange some people think its creepy though.

Lol at hair being creepy! Grin (and I rarely lol)

If it's thick, shiny, swishy and glorious and most importantly, you really like it, then keep it. It is your hair, you get to decide how to have it.

If it's looking thinner at the ends in a damaged way then a really good trim of a couple of inches will make a huge difference to the condition.

I have bra strap length hair that is very thick but also shiny and healthy looking. I'd like a few layers putting back in it and maybe an inch or two off next time I get a cut. Just because I'm conscious of it being too overwhelming because of how thick it is.

There is a woman where I live who has hair my length. She's in her early 60s and it's grey strikes with white. She's the coolest, most confident looking woman. Really has style and looks amazing.

But on someone who dressed a bit frumpy and didn't bother with things like make up and grooming, long hair can look untidy and witchy, for want of a better word. Hard to explain what I mean really but my point is that there are a lot of things to factor in when deciding whether a hair style or length looks good or not but I don't think age is one of them. I certainly don't subscribe to the very old fashioned idea that women past a certain age shouldn't have long hair.

I'm mid 30s btw.

Depends whether it suits you or not. Got a fried who a few years ago had long blonde curtains style but it didn't suit her, she looks far better with a blunt or layered bob and recently had her hair done in a style that Zoe Ball had when she was younger and it looks fab on my friend!
