Best kiss-proof lipstick?

So I have a date in a few days time, and my planned outfit requires red lipstick. But there is bound to be snogging, so I'm wondering what the best snog resistant lippy is. Anyone got any tried and tested ones? I was thinking maybe one of those which is like a marker pen.

Having done quite a bit of on-stage snogging I can tell you that they only one that doesn't budge, smear or spread is Max Factor Lip Finity.

But what am I doing wrong Sorrel, my lip finity was a disaster! And I had such high hopes Sad

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color.

Apply the base colour coat twice, allowing to dry between coats. Then apply the gloss sealer and you are kiss-proof!

You need white spirit to get it off.

I love Maybelline 24hr. Didn't get on with Max Factor lipfinity.

SorrelForbes · 06/11/2016 21:39

CheddarGorgeous You need to exfoliate your lips first (night before) and then apply a light coat of the colour and let it dry without touching your lips together. When totally dry, apply the tip coat. reapply the top coat a couple of times during the day but not the colour. I wore it for 10 hours yesterday and it had gone a tiny bit patchy by the end but nothing noticeable.

How the jeffing hell do you exfoliate your lips? Sounds painful!

I did the whole drying thing. Still fell off, especially if I tried to eat something.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 06/11/2016 22:12

Benefit Benetint (or whatever cheap option you can get) with lip balm on top.

Definitely won't move because it's a stain - it may wear but it won't smudge.

CheddarIsNotTheOnlyCheese · 06/11/2016 22:12

Cheddar (grate sorry great name btw) try lipscuff from the Bodyshop or lip exfoliator by e.l.f. I have both and they're brilliant. You just apply them like lipstick.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 06/11/2016 22:18

Or just some sugar in oil or apply loads of Vaseline and then use an old toothbrush.

Smile

How on earth did I get to 43 without realising that lip exfoliation was a thing.

I threw my lip finity away in exasperation (should have consulted S&B) but I might try again to achieve bulletproof lipstick with some of the suggestions on this thread.

Maybelline one is good. I think I have the cherry red one - it's a decent strong red without being totally OTT.

I woke up with pretty decent lipstick on last time I wore it out (yes, I know not removing make up is a faux pas, but wine had been taken...)

PineappleFwitters · 18/11/2016 10:00

Haha so I should probably add that the Max Factor Lipfinity pen stood up to the snog test pretty well. But it's been a week and I've not heard from him so I think the lippy probably has more staying power than the man!!!

Lol! His loss. I quite like Kat Von D.

PolaDeVeboise · 18/11/2016 14:15

On the bright side, you've discovered a bomb-proof lippy :D

Cheddar, ensure your lips are dry, and put on a thin coat. Let that dry and then apply another slightly thicker coat, let that dry, then the gloss. Given that the best way to remove it is baby oil, it goes without saying that it doesn't stay put properly if you eat greasy food. However, I swear by it and very rarely wear any other lippy, night or day.
