It's barely even cold and hey my lips are getting really dry. Any recommendations for a nice, healing balm please.

Carmex tingles though becaise of the menthol (or something). Lanolin isn't the main ingredient so maybe there's not so much that you react.

Beautifullymixed · 04/11/2016 21:26

I love carmex, as well as my plain lanolin.
I like the heaviness on my lips, and feel lost without a balm in my pocket, in my bag, by my bedside, on my dresser etc etc Smile

Having spent YEARS searching I now use Avene Cold Creme during the day and an amazing pot at night - it's a lip mask.

Burts bees for me too! I'm a bit obsessed with lip balm and get through loads but since I've tried Burts Bees I'm reapplying far less often and it's lasting longer.

SouthWestmom · 04/11/2016 21:29

Ignore the bloody links.

It's called laneige lip mask in a pink tub

ChickenVindaloo · 04/11/2016 21:30

I like Australian papaya gold pawpaw from boots. Like aquhaphor but better! Nice big tube, comes out easily.

ChickenVindaloo · 04/11/2016 21:31

If it tingles its irritating your lips.

Sparkletastic · 04/11/2016 21:33

Eve Lom is good. Also Clarins or 8 Hour.

Chickpearocker · 04/11/2016 21:40

Some lip balms give me a strangely dry soreish throat.

BubsAndMoo · 04/11/2016 21:47

Nuxe Reve de Miel. It's gorgeous, worth the price tag. Holy grail product for me.

Whenasuitcasejustwontdo · 04/11/2016 21:54

I swear by eos, I only need to apply twice a day rather than many many times!

BroomstickOfLove · 04/11/2016 21:55

I like Dr Bronner, and am also slightly allergic to lanolin. I think I was ok with it on my nipples, but Lansinoh makes my lips red, swollen, blistered and itchy.

These are great. You can get them on amazon, and I think also on ebay. They come from the US.

carrotcakecupcake · 04/11/2016 22:23

Another fan of burts bees here! But only the original one - I don't find the flavoured ones are as moisturising, they just seem to leave a greasy coating.

MountainDweller · 04/11/2016 22:27

Yes I find the Clarins lip oil is very moisturizing. It takes away that horrible tight feeling I get with dry lips. If I wear it overnight I suffer much less with dry chapped lips (though it's probably a bit of a waste that the cute little square bottle is sitting on my nightstand!). Not cheap but my first one lasted a whole winter. I have the honey one.

IJustLostTheGame · 05/11/2016 09:13

Palmers cocoa butter.
I love it.

treaclesoda · 05/11/2016 09:16

Kind Natured with Manuka Honey is fantastic. But sadly it smells revolting.
