How do I sell a Mulberry bag?

Dh bought me one 15+ years ago, I never used it,not even once and it occurred to me last night I could sell it.

Where?

Had a quick look on eBay ,is that the best place? It's the Mulberry equivalent of the Radley across body bag.

Any suggestions gratefully receivedSmile

Numbers is good, people will want to see the serial number to make sure it's genuine.

On the leather label inside it has a stamp - LH or OH?

It might have been sold as a second?

Contact Shian at Naughtipidgins Nest - she's really knowledgeable.

There are a number of good closed FB groups you can sell Mulberry bags through. I've bought two via these groups, and recently sold a bag - all great experiences as the admins are highly knowledgeable.

Some groups are better than other though, I'd happily recommend some if you'd like me to PM you.

Firstly many of the older Mulberry bags do not have serial numbers on the brass tags. The older Bayswaters and Roxannes often have the craftsman's initials or initials relating to the factory heatstamped beneath the gold Mulberry tree on the leather inside the bag. The fakers don't bother doing this as it's an expensive process. If your bag has the initials stamped on the leather tag inside the bag...then it's 99.9% likely to be real...and more importantly quite rare and more collectable! I owned one of the very first oak Roxannes and it had the initials of the craftsman stamped inside. This was how Mulberry used to mark its leather goods before it started churning them out on a conveyor belt style!

Might be the craftsman's initials. It's beautifully stamped, not just randomly done.

It's from when the fabulous Lisa Montague was COO at Mulberry. She used to road-test the leather on bags before they went into production. She moved on to Loewe.

Big I'm nodding like I know what all that means Grin

Is it LM rather than LH then?

Just read if it's a second - or a sub- it will have 0 or 00 on it.
