HAS ANYONE GOT A ROC MICRO DERMABRASION KIT??? IS IT ANY GOOD?

Just thinking of getting one? Looks quite a good idea. Is it actually good for your skin using one of these regularly - the packet says twice a week. I've heard that if you use a exfoliator it actually makes your skin produce more oil? anyone know?? As I am prone to oily skin sometimes and don't want to make it worse !

don't know about the ROC one, but I had the L'Oreal Home Microdermabrasion kit

It utterly knackered my skin, made it red, irritated and flakey - and my skin isn't just 'sometimes oily', it's permanently greasy and is tough and hardy with nasty blocked pores. I spent two weeks intensively moisturing it to get it back to any semblance of normal.

Better than occasional vicious exfoliating is frequent gentle exfoliating - I'm doing the Liz Earle cleanse & polish with a muslin twice a day, and my skin is really liking it.

opposite of MrsBadger - I had the Lo'Oreal one and really liked it - my skin is quite dry and I only used a little but it made my skin looked really refreshed and smooth. I used it twice a week and I felt it really made a difference.

You need to work out if you are more like badger or more like me to see if it would work for you I guesss.

Yes, I had the loreal one too, i found it great. My skin is also a little more on the oily side. I also go for professional microdermabrasion when I get my three children looked after, not often and would defintely recommend it.

When you go for professional microdermabrasion..is it through a beauty clinic or through the doctor?? Been thinking of doing this as have a patch of my chin which never goes and now have been on minocin for years..which I know it not good.
Any advice..what price is it and is there a difference between that and dermabrasion?

Hi winniewoo I go to a beauty salon for the microdermabrasion. I pay £40.00 and the treatment lasts about an hour, it includes full cleanse and tone, microdermabrasion, face mask and neck and shoulder massage. Divine. Do shop around as the beauty salon opposite the one I go to charges £65.00 for the same treatment. I was desperate one month so I went there and came out with my face looking like a smacked arse as she has the setting too high , so do shop around first.

I love this treatment has it gets rid of all the muck deep down from the pores. I can also recommend a collaged face mask, everytime I have one of these people always comment on how my skin is glowing.

Go on treat yourself.
