What do you put on the ends of straightened hair?

Google really isn't helping! When the hairdresser straightens my hair she put some sort of cream or something on the ends which make them look great. I spent ages in boots earlier trying to find something similar but I have no idea what it is that I'm looking for.

At the moment my hair looks ok but the ends look sort of choppy and not sleek, any idea what it is that I'm looking for?

Was it serum? I use some on the ends and it makes my hair look lovely. Boots own brand is the best one I've found and it's pretty cheap.

Moroccan oil works for me - the one in green and white packaging

I'm guessing that it is some sort of serum but I got boggled by choice and ended up with something that isn't for that!

Is there a certain type or specific name?

My hairdresser uses a Kerastase serum on my ends but the serum is eye-wateringly expensive for me (£30 for a bottle). I've bought a cheapo L'Oreal cream thing in a tube and that seems to soothe my dry ends.

L'Oréal Sealing Repair Lipidium Double Serum is a serum that immediately repairs damaged hair whilst preventing split ends.
That product is SO similar to the kerastase version. Applied on damp or dry hair. It just seals the cuticle down and great on fluffy ends. Applied to damp and dry hair.

Pomade is great for this

I use Moroccan oil and sometimes mix in a bit of frizz ease with it. Going to give the L'oreal one a go now as well.

Why don't you ask your hairdresser? If they're in a salon they usually sell the products they use and even if it's an independent hairdresser I'm sure they won't mind you calling them to ask.

It all depends on your hair type. What works for some won't work so well for others. Your best bet is to pop into the hairdressers and ask what she uses.
