Clarks & StartRites not as well made recently?

DD1 had new StartRites in Sept for school and the soles split widthways within 6 weeks of her wearing them.

I bought DS1 new Clarks on 2 January and the bloody stitching round the toe has come loose on both pairs.

What's going on!!!! I paid good money for these 'quality' shoes.

both pairs - I meant both shoes. Duh

you should return them ,clarks are quite good about things like that.

I changed the StartRites before Christmas and the new pair (different style) are holding up OK.

I actually kept the receipt for the Clarks so I'll take them back this week. But it's an 18mile round trip for shoes so it's a PITA!

DD's buckle broke on clarkes so took them back and changed them.
