Urgent help required - size 8 person buying present for size 14 person

Does empire line look okay generally on a slightly fuller figured person? I've seen a really nice grey sweater dress in Next, but as the model is (of course) super skinny, I'm not sure how it will look on a slightly - ahem - larger person... Waddyareckon?

id be miffed if a person bought me clothes unless it was my children then i would appreciate the tought.

Agree with MrsBadger (as I have done before funnily enough) buy something sizeless!

Don't buy clothes. Buy jewellery. Earrings best bet. Or books!
