Finishing product for curly/wavy hair??

Hi! I've stopped blow drying my hair and am embracing the waves instead - in other words messy!!
I think the hairdresser put a finishing cream on. It's not exactly frizzy but it looks dry and lacks definition. I've got salt spray already.Am off to Boots tomorrow but there's so much choice I never know what to go for! Any recommendations please?!

Not sure if it's categorized as a finishing cream (I think it's billed as a "hair moisturizer") but I love Lush's R&B: a tiny dab turns my mess of hair into something shiny and wavy. Be warned, though, you will be surrounded by a cloud of floral SMELL for an hour or so after applying it. Your tolerance may vary...

I have heard good things about Sebastian Potion 9 as well.

Loriel extraordinary oil, really great for maximising curls.
Boots hair cream ( I think, really cheap, cream is pink in a simple tub)
Frizz ease serum

Ohyesiam · 17/10/2016 17:25

And also just leave regular conditioner in and let of dry naturally

I have wild, thick curls and I use Superdrug's Argan Oil. It's only a few quid and makes my hair so soft and lovely without losing the curls :)

I like this gel and/or this balm .

Bumble and bumble curl defining cream. Not cheap but you don't need to use a lot - I use it every other day, have hair a bit longer than shoulders and it lasts me up to a year.

Another vote for lush's r and b. I use it on my hair and DH uses it on his beard Grin

I use deva curl and the curly hair method.
It has given me back ringlets.
You can buy a travel pack to try it out.

I use Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer and the Brilliant Serum. The serum is amazing - you only need a small amount and it makes my thick, coarse and curly hair really soft and shiny. It smells gorgeous too. The Boots curl cream mentioned above is really good too - my hair dresser recommended it to me. I find it a bit greasier than the Aveda stuff but it's still really good value.

Second the curly girl method here, it's great

Shameless place marking... I use Toni and guys salt spray which is good, but still looking for other ideas
