Inbetween jacket

Can anyone help me with some suggestions please.

I am looking for a nice jacket to wear in this in-between weather. Not biker style, I already have a brown leather biker that's quite old, I do still wear it but want something new.

I've tried all my usual places - Boden, Mint Velvet, White Company, M&S....nothing fits the bill. I tried a coatigan from Boden - went straight back - VERY frumpy!

I am 44, 5'3", size 12 with boobs and inverted triangle shape.

I think I'd like wool and it should have a bit of warmth but not as warm as a winter coat.

Help!

What about a longish denim jacket? They're v versatile. Religion have one, I'll try to find a link

Thanks terrific but think I want something a bit smarter than denim.

The camel has arrived in a 14. It's ok but I don't really love it.

I like that one less - looks a bit boxy and the polyester content puts me off a bit.
I'm really tempted to get the Boden in grey herringbone but payday isn't until Tuesday.

How nice was fabric of the camel one? Was it just the fit that didn't do it for you?

brilliana I'm just not sure about the Boden one, it seemed a bit middle-aged/Tory party conference sort of look. And the back vents made my bottom a feature!

The fabric quality was ok, I will have another look at it tomorrow and report back.

O God Tory party conference is so not a look we want to channel.
I have a cape like the Ted Baker one (Joseph, last year) - it does look very elegant but falls off unless you button it up, and it's impossible to carry a bag at the same time.

You can have your arms inside and the slitty bits just disappear! It's so so warm and cosy, I love it.

But Ninja how do you cope with the handbag issue?

I carry it under the sleeves, plenty of room, no issue at all!
Although that's with one I hold by the handles, I only do over the shoulder bags for work and I don't wear this to work, i work with kids and they'd have their grimy painty mitts all over it in no time, even though I hang my coat up in a cupboard!
Although it'd be roomy enough to wear a shoulder bag underneath, i think it would ruin the shape of it.
It's beautifully cut though, I tried it on and fell in love with it.
