Heeled shoes with skinny jeggings

I'm not really one for dressing up, but recently started wearing jeggings (the nice M&S ones) and need shoes to go with them for nights out.
My friends wear quite high heels with theirs but I can't do high or thin heels!
Would something like these be OK? Or can anyone point me to some nice low, wide heeled shoes please??

I'm not sure they would work with jeggings.

What about knee high boots instead?

OhTheRoses · 03/10/2016 13:55

Well, I wouldn't but I wouldn't wear high heels with jeggings either.

youngestisapsycho · 03/10/2016 13:56

I have boots... I need a nice pair of shoes.

I'm sorry but I don't think they would look right together. What about ankle boots with a heel like these m&s ones

Hmm... I always see women with high heels and skinny jeans... is this not the done thing then?

I don't think it's a thing. Skinnies and flats or boots. Same for jeggings.

GinAndOnIt · 03/10/2016 14:09

Courts look nice with skinnies. I'd wear leggings or skinny jeans with courts. Or a very thin strappy heel.

timeisnotaline · 03/10/2016 14:11

Skinnies and heels are of course a thing, but I don't think the shoes you've chosen work. Basically they need to look modern and the strap style is slightly retro which is great with lots of things but probably not skinnies.

youngestisapsycho · 03/10/2016 14:14

I did wear them on Saturday night with a more strappy open toe shoe and they looked nice (so I thought!) but want a closed toe for winter....

Lots of people wear skinny jeans and heels, less so leggings, although I think they could look good if you wore slouchy/baggy top, you wouldn't want to end up with a cat-suit type look plus heels, that's too much. If you do want to go with heels, then court/plain but high look good, fancy shoes less so.

FeralBeryl · 03/10/2016 14:22

I think they've got to be higher to go with skinnies/jeggings
I'd also go either very strappy, or not at all-just a 'pump' type

Bubbinsmakesthree · 03/10/2016 14:31

Skinnies and heels is of course 'a thing'!

timeisnotaline has it right - you need a modern looking style - the one you've picked out would work with a tea dress or something but not with skinny jeans /jeggings.

Block heels are very in at the moment. I'd go for as high as you feel comfortable with in a minimal, clean court style.

DavetheCat2001 · 03/10/2016 17:03

I posted a pic up a couple of days ago of an outfit I am planning to wear which consists of skinny/jeggingy type jeans and 'mary-jane' style shoes, however the heel is higher than the shoe you posted, although not so high as you'd break your neck!

I agree with another poster above that skinnies look better with a bit of a heel/court style shoe. Or a ballet pump style works.

dontpokethebear · 03/10/2016 17:07

You could probably get away with something like these? Whilst the heels are quite narrow, they aren't high so shouldn't be too uncomfortable.

Omg op, in the first post those shoes would not look nice at all

johnthebaptiser · 03/10/2016 17:12

You could possibly get way with these ones. What you posted is a no no.

johnthebaptiser · 03/10/2016 17:13

It's meant to be the brown ones. 100% not the black

idontlikealdi · 03/10/2016 17:16

No, those shoes won't work at all! You need stiletto type or courts. Or flats or boots.

PNGirl · 03/10/2016 17:47

This only works with a high heeled court, preferably pointy. You might just about get away with a pointy mid heel court as posted above.

Fuzzypeggy · 03/10/2016 18:08

Yes to high heeled pointy shoes, very much a thing with skinnies

AyeAmarok · 03/10/2016 18:13

High heeled shoes with skinny jeans look great.

But only if you can walk in the shoes, otherwise stick with flats.
