If you wear chinos in the summer what trousers do you wear in the winter?

I'm finally giving up on jeans as they just aren't comfortable on my shape and I have tried lots of different styles and brands over the years. Chinos I do find comfy. Usually in the autumn and winter I'll start wearing skirts, tights and boots again but the joys of the peri menopause mean that hot flushes are never far away and trousers are cooler than tights.

Chinos rolled up with chelsea boots? If there is no snow I wear chinos and brogues or loafers all winter when not in a suit.

Can't you still wear chinos in the winter? I have some which I just wear like jeans all through the year

O! I thought it would be too chilly in chinos but I guess we don't actually get very cold weather any more.

I have a pair of skinny cotton Olive combat trousers I wear with ankle boots.

Cord trousers? Heavier chinos?

Today I looked for some more chino type trousers to add to my two pairs and could not find any full length (Gap had sale very cropped ones) anywhere.
Any recommendations?

Cropped ones can work with chelsea boots or those Mary Poppins style ones..
