How much growth does there actually need to be?

My best friend got me vouchers for a beauty parlour, and i thought i'd get a pedicure and my legs waxed.

I'm a seasoned shaver- i don't know if i could stand to grow it enough to wax. What are we talking here- prickly? forest of fur?

It needs to be longer than stubble. But when you have it done, you need to keep going every 4-6 weeks as just a one off would be a waste. it doesn't grow back prickly though.

Oh you will love the results and you'll never go back to shaving.

One word of advice you need to breath if you hold your breath just before they pull the strip you will feel the pain. So remember the breathing you did in the labour ward do that trust me it wont hurt as much.

the longer the better for the best results.

I always have a glass of wine before I go and walk there and back-helps no end

cece · 05/02/2007 16:48

agree about 1 cm minimum but the longer the better. When they grow back they are not stubbly. Been having mine done for 15 years now and I have bare patches where it doesn't grow back anymore.

TBH no more painful than a plaster being ripped off. I personally find the back of legs the worse, down by the ankle.

Remember to wear nice knickers and/or longish top.

Take some paracetomol before you go if you've been shaving for years!!! Or have a good slug of whisky! Or maybe I'm just a big soft git!
