Sorry, can't do links but it's www.tansen.co.uk/simplemerce/storeitem.jsp?vid=20050927001&cid=3367&ic=TA6UKR...

Failing that, it's the chiffon rose camisole top, TA67KR111 £17.50

the link is here and i think it would look good with smart jeans

earlgrey · 05/02/2007 07:37

FB, do you like it? Blimey, haven't worn jeans since I was 16 and on a school trip in climbing things in Wales.

Tell me, what are smart jeans?

Would you wear it?

OP posts:
earlgrey · 05/02/2007 07:38

Thank you for the link, too!

In Wales, climbing things . DD2's pasta for her packed lunch was boiling nicely all over my hob!

I do like it but wouldn't wear it as it's not 'me' if you get my jist.

Smart Jeans are nice jeans not scruffy and normally a little longer so can be worn with a heel.

SmileysPeople · 05/02/2007 09:03

I think it's lovely earlgrey. Just the sort of thing I would love to wear but can't because of my dinner lady arems.

I agree it would look great with jeans and heels for a night out. Dressy but not trying too hard.

malaleche · 05/02/2007 09:04

i wouldnt wear it, i would get caught on something and rip it. i would wear it with black or dark grey trousers or long skirt, in silk or linen

blossomhill · 05/02/2007 09:05

Skinny jeans and slinky sandals would look great

brimfull · 05/02/2007 09:06

I like it ,would look great with jeans and heels.

belgo · 05/02/2007 09:09

I really like it. I would wear it with a long black skirt.

earlgrey · 05/02/2007 09:36

Oooh, you lot are FAB!!

Just the thing for a mum that's not been out in years!

I've ordered both sizes so's I can return the one that doesn't fit. I think I'll have to wear it with a grungy cardi - have bingo-ish arms too, least I think so! Jeans scare me a bit, so thank you belgo for the skirt suggestion.

But I may just go wild and buy some ..... jeans!

fashionsista · 05/02/2007 09:56

Try some jeans, you might be pleasantly surprised. If you wear it with a long skirt and a grungy you might not as edgy and it will detract from the top. Dark jeans would be great with boots or round toed shoes. Also what about a shrug style cardigan, there are quite a few with wide sleeves out now. What size are you.

NbgsYellowFeathers · 05/02/2007 10:04

I agree that jeans would look good with it.
Maybe skinnys and some knee boots?

Lovely site too. I've put it in my favourites.

SmileysPeople · 05/02/2007 12:26

Maybe a shrug type cardi would look good to cover the bingo arms?
You could then still see all the lovely detil on the t.

Do go and try jeans. But try LOADS and don't be put off if the first few/dozen look terrible. I've had to try lots of different shops to find a style that was flatterong.
I now usually go to River island as they do diiferent lenghths.

I have stubby legs as well as thr dinner lady arms

SmileysPeople · 05/02/2007 12:28

Oh sorry just seen someone else has already suggested a shrug.

Great minds all that...

SmileysPeople · 05/02/2007 12:30

I think it would look good also with a long skirt, but a differnt type of look. A more boho look.
With jeans and heels it's more sophisticated sexy.
depends where you're going.

Hattiecat · 05/02/2007 12:43

its lovely - i'd go for black velvet trousers and high heels...really pretty!

earlgrey · 06/02/2007 00:06

You lot are all so lovely - thanks for helping me out!

Fsista, size 10/12, depending on the shop.

SP, for a jeans virgin, where would you shop? Have seen those bootleg (think that's what they're called, the ones with the wide bottom bit), and don't like those at all.

Gonna buy some jeans .... Gonna buy some jeans ....

for the first time in 30 yrs! yea!

BassMama · 06/02/2007 00:25

Skinny Jeans and heels, I'd go for black jeans and pink or blue shoes and accessories to match the top.

Also, dont wear a necklace with this, go for chunky beaded bracelets (or a lot of little ones) on both arms.

For jeans - try topshop or DP for cheaper but very nice styles - or if you want to push the boat out try Sass and Bide, 7 For All Mankind and True Religion for really lovely skinnies.

I think you'll look lovely. Its a very flattering cut and style.
