Is Boden overpriced?

I've just received the latest catalogue and there's some lovely stuff in it, but am I alone in thinking it's overpriced for what it is? £90 for this jersey dress? It's a nice dress but I'd pay £50 tops!

Is Boden overpriced?

Indeed, rollon!

I really like their shoes. I think most of their clothes are overpriced and I rarely buy. But with a discount, or even better - in the sales - their shoes are v good quality and well worth it.

I don't buy many of their shoes but every season I think they do at least 1 great shoe. (Or even 1 pair of shoes). Good value with a discount, fantastic value on sale.

I don't think I've ever paid full price for Boden - in fact, I don't think THEY expect anyone to pay full price. Why don't they ditch the promos and put the prices down?

It is decent quality, though - maybe a cut above Next, M&S etc.

Thanks Anythewiser

LostAtTheFair agree with pp that Jojomamanbebe is a good alternative. Slightly cheaper than Boden, design a less colourful but the quality and durability are truly great. I wish they made clothes for older children!

Also, as whooo mentioned, polarn o pyret are good. Nice and thick cotton, no daft pictures or naff slogans.
Pity dd is too big for their stuff now.

Ah, and being Swedish I can wax lyrical about the days when POP was REALLY good. In the olden days of 70s Swedish textile industry. ;)

I don't think they are particularly overpriced especially when you add in a discount.

The quality stills seems good to me. Have recently ventured into buying more women's wear avoiding the crazy prints. But the jersey dresses are great. Nice thickness and wash really well. I wear them most days and have work wear as well.

I find the shoes expensive but they are too narrow for me anyway.

The dc clothes used to almost exclusively come from Boden as hard wearing young and fun. Now the youngest is 10 1/2 and whilst there is lots there that I love for her she's not a girly girl anymore she wears jeans and sweatshirts and wants the same as her friends!
