Sigh .... Walking sandals

Ok I'm not planning on mountaineering in them but I want some sandals that I can wear on holiday in a few weeks and I want to be able to walk in them all day - and for my feet to still be able to wear sexy heels at night.
They need to be either black or neutral or something vivid like orange.... they need to be pretty, comfy, stylish and modern.
I ordered fit flops Banda roxy slides but they are far too wide (and ugly)...
Any suggestions????

Well Teva's et al are basically the sandal equivalent of trainers which are also ugly but are OK in the right situation. What shoes would you want if it wasn't so hot?

Clarks had a number of styles over the summer, one called "romantic moon" sticks in my mind, I saw a lot of ppl wearing them.

Have you ruled out fitflops/Birkenstocks?

Just bought these. Amazingly comfy and far less fugly than most i have seen. They are a bit metallic and look really nice on.

Glitteryfrog · 08/09/2016 21:40

Birkenstocks?
I can spend a day wandering around in them.

Bolshybookworm · 08/09/2016 22:08

Romantic moon are so lovely, I bought a pair in a blue and coral pattern, they looked amazing. Unfortunately they pinched my wide, flat feet so I took them back but I so wanted to keep them! Leather insole too.

Tantpoke · 09/09/2016 10:55

The Clarks romantic moon look lovely.

I've just bought 3 pairs of footwear from the teva sale, a brand I never thought I'd be wearing on my feet because of their previous ugliness.

However I've managed to find a lovely flip flop leather sandal, normal flip flops and a pair of slides.

Because these days I'm all about comfy feet.

Clarks isna pebble in White. Second pair in this style. Lasted years, look nice and so comfy. Got mine on Amazon bit cheaper too.

OP have a look at UGG (I know!!!) I got these in the sale www.danielfootwear.com/women-c2/jordyne-white-wall-strappy-sandal-p84163/s426130?cid=GBP&gclid=CjwKEAjwu8m-BRDM8KTcjdj8qy0SJACdjSZpqmNZMJrPORCkdiZK7dyZ4l9lP4LrdGIrHABX2YSpuhoC47Xw_wcB and was amazed. Sole looks really scrappy when you take it out of the box but is bouncy and supportive and the leather is incredibly soft. I wore them loads in the summer including full day out in London with the dc and no issues whatsoever. Not ever a brand I would have looked at before but so impressed.

Kahlua4me · 09/09/2016 16:45

I have a pair of wolky shoes, www.footwearcountry.co.uk
The ones I have are called KA Black and are the most comfortable shoes I have. I can run easily in them and wear them all day with no problems.

Tantpoke · 09/09/2016 16:51

ageing. No these because I like the idea of flipflops with a strap at the back.

Kahlua4me · 09/09/2016 16:52

Sorry I can't work out how to link to the actual sandal. Or type Wolky Ka sandal into search engine and it should be first image.
It has a wedge heel and ankle strap with one adjustable bar/strap over the base of toes if that makes any sense!

Tantpoke · 09/09/2016 16:53

And these sliders for more casual beachwear plus they were only a tenner.

Branleuse · 09/09/2016 16:54

birkenstocks are great for walking in

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 09/09/2016 16:55

Fly London.

Amazingly comfortable.

Tantpoke · 09/09/2016 16:57

Oh they're flip flops not sliders, never mind I like them anyway Smile and they've got to be more comfy than Havianas which I don't like wearing anymore, not comfy at all for me anymore.

JedRambosteen · 10/09/2016 06:31

I've just ordered half price Tevas from Tantpoke's link for next summer. Smile
