Can't get the cream out of Avene pump

Has anyone bought Avène's TriAcnéal emulsion and know how on earth to get the stuff out, please? I've pumped like crazy and not a drop appears.

Before I send it back, any tips? Thanks

There is an open and a locked position on the pump.

Can you try and turn the pump to the open position?

Thanks, I kept pumping and it's now working! Strange design, but at least it won't dry up.
