What are you 11-13 year olds wearing if they fit in ladies clothes

Dd 11 is on the tall/larger side for her age and recently we have really struggled for clothing, she doesn't fit into kids stuff, even H&M is a struggle

She seems to be a ladies size 12, recently I picked her up a couple of tops at Matalan in the kids range age 16 and some ladies jeggings in a size 12.

I'm taking her shopping tomorrow but really have no idea where to look, I don't want her dressing to old, (she starts secondary this year) my other dd13 is a skinny jean and belly top type of girl but dd11 won't wear either

What are your young dd's wearing if they are now in ladies

New look has been DD1 choice for clothes for some time. They have up to 15 years teen section and then ladies. They have lots of young stuff that isnt going to make them look too old, if you know what i mean! DD is wearing lots of romper suits and little sun dresses at the moment.

To add dd is size 12 and 5ft 9", so i am sure you will find something for your dd there.

My 11 year old wears a size 6 or xs.
She shops in Top Shop, Superdry, jack wills

Lots of New Look here too, with some Hollister and Primark for variety.

Great I will check out new look hopefully they have more in last time I popped in Teen section was just full of belly tops which she won't wear!

The new look I went in today was still full of belly tops. It was about 100 degrees and dd wanted to look at the black padded bomber jackets

I agree that New Look is good DD is wearing a lovely very chic but age appropriate summer print dress from them at the mo which we actually picked up in a charity shop. H&M adult section also worth a look, and Zara Kids.

And Primark of course.

What age does Zara children go upto? Dd is a funny shape at moment and seem to pop out from her chest to belly (kind of Apple shape) at the moment so it's s really struggle to fit into kids, though she got her first period today so expecting her body to start changing shape now

My dd is 11 and is taller than her age average, wears a size 10.

She likes ripped jeans (little rips and frayed patched)
Short shorts
Sports wear tops, cropped but only an inch of midriff showing
Has just got into shape fitting dresses
A lot of vest type tops with jeans or under other tops

She likes the layered look, wears several tops.

We buy stuff from Matalan women, new look, few bits from Primark and local market type shop.

Oh my dd also likes laying she always has a vest on, maybe we should pick up some longer line ones now for her as will loot nice under jumpers for the Autumn to

Yes DD has a bunch of long line vest tops in a range of colours from various places, and she wears little crochet crop tops over the top. It's a fun look that doesn't require a completely flat stomach.

New Look (the 9-15 range), Primark and Top Shop.

Although the latter is a lot more expensive.

Next does up to age 16 online, although not in store. Age 16 is 10-12, I'd say.

12 year old Dd is size 6-8 in women's clothes.

She generally shops in new look teen section and wears age 14-15 clothes or size 8.
In h&m she will either wear the teen clothes or xs/size 8.
She liked looking in top shop too and bought a top in the sale.

Dd shops mostly in New Look and H&M - the online sites are better, more of the range. I let her loose with my credit card - then we send lots back.

Dd is 12 and now wears ladies clothes. This summer was the first time she has had all ladies stuff.
She has topshop, zara, new look and a few things from Urban Outfitters.
She's a 6-8 or XS in UO.

Johnnie B (Boden), Hollister, Top Shop, New Look, Next, bit of Superdry and some Gap stuff.

She likes simple clothes, hates crop tops and nothing flashy but she is also quite girly and likes pretty tops and dresses.

Some really good suggestions though so at least I feel like we have a plan tomorrow, I was getting concerned as our last trip into town didn't go well as we were trying kids clothes and they didn't fit, I don't want her worrying about her shape/weight... She's growing and changing shape

I did look at next online but dd wasn't keen skit of it seen quite young

We have looked online and dd quite likes the denim pinafore dresses that seem to be popular, with a tee under so she is keen to try one on tomorrow

She likes fashion but likes to hide her tummy she much prefers longer tops, she is happy with leggings/jeggings but just like her tummy covered. Dd13 is the opposite... She is a petite curvy size 8 and lives in skinny/short shorts and belly tops.

dd got a lovely long line chambray shirt in H&M today...very casual, she'll wear it with jeggings, DMs and a bomber jacket.

My Dd is 13 and 5ft 8 and is very broad across the shoulders and has big boobs so wears anything from a size 12 up. We have found New Look to be very good but avoid the 9-15 teen range as it is very small in size and suitable for a teen with a very light frame.

Primark is good too and H and M are good for long vests and leggings but not much else. Topshop is also worth a look, usually we avoid as somethings can be too small/short and just not age appropriate but they have a lot of good causal lounge type wear in at the moment.

We find Next good for some things, but wish they actually had the age 15 in store. DD (11) isn't tall enough or 'womenly' enough for women's tops or dresses, the shaping is all wrong. Although she wears Dorothy Perkins size 8 jeans. Tbh clothing is a disaster, a lot of stuff just looks wrong on her and she doesn't know what she wants. She has a couple of Johnnie B dresses in large that she likes, but mainly lives in Karrimor running crops ( size 10) and football t-shirts.

Agree with you there about Next Callar, and their grown up clothes aren't exactly er, great, for adults let alone teens!
I have a few work things from Next but at best it's a 'beige' shop.

My Dd is 14, so a little outside your age range, is 5 ft 10 and wears an adult size ten. In summer she lives in denham shorts with t-shirts (mainly v-necks from Hollister) or summer dresses (H and M), in winter she generally wears a fine kin jumper with the collar and cuffs of a silky blouse showing underneath, paired with jeans or a black skater skirt and thick tights.
