I actually got a card or promo through the letterbox from them.. and in big letters it mentioned the no quibble 1 year returns if something is just not up to your standards. I was surprised and read and reread it. Specifically as I knew I had these two dresses I had bought. 1 I never wore, and 1 worn once or twice, not damaged, not bad quality. Just not me..
I looked into this policy on their website and wrote a little note and sent back to the returns address.. The website does state, as long as its not mauled by dogs, and as long as you don't take the piss..
I had long since binned the packaging / labels and just had the email to prove I had bought them 10 months previously.
"So if you're not happy, we will give you account credit for the amount you paid for that item. Almost all of you are lovely people and will see this as us being helpful and confident about how well made our clothes are, but there will be a few rotten apples who might look on this as an opportunity to refresh their wardrobe for free each season (you know who you are).
Anyone repeatedly trying to do this will get spotted, and a dim view will be taken, probably resulting in us parting company. When returning goods which you bought using a discount or offer, we will adjust the refund accordingly if you fall below the discount/offer threshold, as that discount or offer will no longer apply. Should anything spring a fault in the first 6 months, we will, of course, give you your money back.
If you are a pathological chancer and simply can't help yourself, we recommend trying it on with our competitors instead."
Chardonnay, not sure why you think its "cheating". The company said they will give me a credit, they can resell the goods or write thenm off, and I get a credit, not a refund, which ultimately means I will spend a bit more with them..
Thanks for the hints. 'll check the tops.. any other ideas appreciated too.
