Can you help me identify this not sold-in-stores Make up brand?

A long time ago (years) I was at a motorway service station and in the same way as they have pop-up car insurance stands, they had a pop up make up stand.

If I remember correctly the brand name was that of a woman who had created it - I think it was a full name, like Jo Malone rather than just Jo. This is very half remembered though and could be completely wrong.

The packaging was black and sleek.

The whole thing about this makeup range was that it had little gadgets/gimmicks built into each item. For example the lipstick had a concealed flip-up mirror built into the side of it. The whole range was all sort of gadgeted with hidden sliding features.

I've racked my brains and googled and can't find anything about it. I've never seen it before or since and it may very well have gone out of business.

Does this mean anything to anyone?

Is the make up itself any good does anyone know or is it style over content?

I have the survival kit and its good. Haven't try any of the other items in the range, but its great to have for weekends away, or just in your handbag.

Yep, you can buy it off a dodgy looking guy who shouts at you if you don't buy any of it outside Hammersmith Tube station occasionally.

Blusher brush is a bit small, so I use one that is in a lipstick type tube, that you roll up and down and it takes up no room at all.

I think at the time I didn't buy any because it felt a bit "back of the lorry" to me as it was a popup service station stand and I'd never heard of it. But I always remembered the cute gadgets and though some of them were clever.

That thread suggests looking at money saving expert so I will check that out.

This is interesting - couple of people saying no good for sensitive skin. No idea obv if accurate but useful info. It's put me right off!

I wonder why they choose to sell like that rather than in dept stores etc? Do they get more profit rather than having to pay for a concession stand?

My mum bought it for me at a pop up shop about a year ago in a shopping centre in Glasgow. She paid £25 for it. She knows I like quirky handy things, and it has been handy, but I don't use it every day. I have used the lipliner and some of the eyeshadows and blushers. It is a clever idea, but not something I would get again tbh.

I liked some of the eye shadows & lip colours, but the eye liner dragged on me & lip liner was not a good colour on me.

I liked the whole gadget feel, but I think it would be a great idea if they let you mix your own colours etc.
